This position owns the execution of Quality operational goals and plans. May lead multiple teams responsible for Quality Engineering for a large organization. Sets direction and leads resources to develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation, control systems, and protocols. Provides guidance across the organization in the implementation of corrective actions for design problems for internally produced products and processes.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for developing and setting the strategic direction for the Quality Operations by establishing a strong robust Quality Management System to support the organization's short and long-term business objectives.
  • Oversee the quality department and ensure strong functional support to the overall product quality and manufacturing operations of the sites.
  • Maintain AS9100, ISO9001 and NADCAP certifications Roles and Responsibilities (Essential roles, responsibilities and activities a candidate can expect to assume in this position)
  • Develop and provide strategic direction for overall product quality of manufacturing operations including cost of poor quality, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and part conformance. Appointed as main customer focus point of contact to develop and perform customer presentations on major/critical investigations
  • Lead, direct, evaluate and develop quality assurance/engineering staff and quality control staff to ensure their work meet established overall operations' targets and standards through support activities such as methods and procedures, planning and revision, gage planning and review, quality and reliability engineering, review and disposition of material variances
  • Overall accountability for CAB, PMRB, MRB and Clinic activities and their process robustness.
  • Review inspection methods, policies and procedures to meet quality objectives, product quality, quality assurance, technical goals and productivity savings.
  • Monitor industry trends, and developments in inspection technology; evaluate and recommend investments in equipment, systems, or other assets that will improve the organization's production capabilities.
  • Establish and monitor cost effectiveness and reliability of inspection processes in manufacturing activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending and ensure that the budget in capital expenditure is met. Lead the implementation of such new inspection technologies that will achieve efficiencies and cost effectiveness in these process improvements.
  • Lead cross functional teams to develop and drive preemptive action plans to ensure preventive measures are implemented for possible failure modes identified in production part approval process.
  • Attract, retain, and engage Quality talent through DHR Core Skills, reward and recognition
  • Ensure that the training structure for both new and existing talents and hires are current, carried out and individual proficiency levels maintained.
  • Foster and maintain a cooperative and productive working partnership and relationship with internal and external partners, customers, and overseas sites.
  • Responsible and lead Quality Culture Initiatives

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
