Position Overview
As the Associate Director of Aftermarket for our SAP ERP Transformation - Plan to Sustain project, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development and optimization of Aftermarket processes across our Aerospace and Defense operations. Reporting directly to the Plan-to-Deliver leader, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive process maps that integrate seamlessly with our new ERP system. Your expertise will drive strategic improvements and operational efficiencies, ensuring that our Aftermarket functions align with industry best practices and organizational goals.
What You Will Do
The Associate Director of SAP ERP Transformation for Plan to Sustain (Aftermarket) will lead strategic initiatives to optimize business processes, data governance, and system integrations across RTX's Aerospace and Defense operations. This role is responsible for defining the strategic vision for ERP transformation, driving enterprise-wide adoption of SAP S4/HANA, and ensuring alignment with corporate goals. The Associate Director will lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive process maps, establish data governance frameworks, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will partner with corporate leaders, enterprise services, and business units to identify gaps in current processes, recommend innovative solutions, and oversee the deployment of ERP capabilities. This position requires strong influence over key stakeholders, the ability to manage change initiatives, and a focus on ensuring that the ERP system supports business growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the Associate Director will monitor performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of the transformation and make data-driven decisions to optimize outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets related to Aftermarket process development and SAP ERP integration.
- Oversee the integration of Aftermarket processes into the new SAP ERP system, ensuring that all required capabilities are effectively supported.
- Effectively communicate and influence VPs and other senior leaders on the status, benefits, and implications of the SAP ERP transformation project.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with Aftermarket process changes and SAP ERP implementation.
- Ensure Aftermarket process maps incorporate industry best practices and are tailored to meet the specific needs of all RTX business units.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems by Aftermarket teams.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within SAP ERP systems, leveraging technology to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
- Oversee relationships with SAP ERP vendors and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with SAP ERP implementations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and data security standards.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of SAP ERP initiatives, providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership.
- Ability to travel up to 30%.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years' experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Aftermarket operations, ERP systems, or related fields.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale projects and complex initiatives, particularly in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Proven leadership skills, including team building, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to government contractual requirements for financial management system access.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
