Experienced professional with deep knowledge and technical expertise managing internal warehousing and 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) warehouse operations in an aerospace manufacturing and aftermarket environment. This is a central corporate role that acts as a consultant and project manager to support internal customers in the US and internationally. Employing industry best practices, this leader will make significant process, systems, and customer service improvements in support of manufacturing and aftermarket distribution teams.

What You Will Do:
- Collaborate with Collins sites and RTX peers to develop and facilitate global logistics and warehouse optimization projects to improve service, meet company schedules, and reduce cost.
- Oversight of warehousing and 3rd party logistics service provider performance for manufacturing and aftermarket distribution. Implement and maintain appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and work with 3PL providers and internal customers to ensure appropriate service levels are achieved.
- As a Subject Matter Expert, develop, document, and deploy standard work for warehouse, material handling and logistics operations. Collaborate with sites to adopt best practices and common standards across the company.
- As Subject Matter Expert, assist in specification and implementation of SAP S4/HANA and Extended Warehouse Management System (EWMS).
- As a warehouse operations Subject Matter Expert, assist in company warehouse and logistics procurement efforts, evaluating bids, service offerings and making recommendations for provider selection.
- Assist Global Trade to ensure compliance with customer/program logistics and trade requirements.
- Leverage data from multiple sources to measure warehouse and 3PL performance and analysis of spend. Support business unit and company budgeting and forecasts.
- Lead efforts to identify, recommend adoption of new technologies to improve logistics capability.
- Must be willing and able to travel 25% of the time (domestic and international)
- While most work is in normal daytime hours, Collins' global footprint and supplier base can require meetings or calls outside normal business hours.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
- 5+ years experience managing material inventory, storage and handling operations in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years experience in inventory management and cycle counting techniques and standards. Demonstrated track record of achieving and maintaining high-level inventory accuracy and control.
- 5+ years experience with SAP or similar ERP systems and Warehouse Management System (WMS) systems.
- 5+ years experience and knowledge of warehouse receiving, put away, storage strategies, pick and presentation methods. Able to determine and articulate appropriate methods for various use cases.
- 5+ years experience with multiple material handling and inventory control technologies. Able to evaluate and select appropriate technologies considering cost/payback, scale and supportability.
- 5+ years experience in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization
- experience managing or working as a 3PL warehouse provider.
- Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environment.
- Experience in implementing WMS in a manufacturing or aftermarket distribution environment.
- Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA and Extended Warehouse Management System (EWMS) desirable.
- Grounding in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and hands-on experience in process improvement projects.
- Familiarity with US Department of Defense Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS) standards for warehousing and material control.
- APICS Certification in Production Management and/or Logistics.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials and shelf-life storage and shipping standards.
- Experience in international trade requirements and best practices. Knowledge of ITAR and export control regulations. Familiarity with duty drawback, Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and other duty mitigation programs.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
