The Associate Director will manage a department that includes multiple teams led by managers and/or supervisors in Facilities including grounds, custodial, manufacturing support, building operations, general maintenance and renovation/construction. May oversee organization wide security programs to ensure compliance with regulations, and develops critical strategic operational goals for planning, organizing and scheduling. Facilities activities such as equipment reconfiguration, installation costs, etc.

This role will be performed onsite at our Collins location in Cedar Rapids, IA.

This position may be eligible for relocation

What You Will Do:

• Conduct machine inventories and arranges disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required equipment. Manages facilities contractor management process.

• Ensure proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.

• Gather and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.

• Plan, design, and reconfigure equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures to ensure the optimal utilization of the organization's facilities quires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.

• Macro scheduling and coordination of planning efforts for major projects as well as small jobs which can include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC etc.

• Partner with Sr. Facilities leadership to highlight efficiency gains, industry trends, concerns and improvement recommendations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

• Experience in facilities, consulting, and/or construction management

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience coaching and collaborating with multiple trades

• Experience with conflict resolution in the work environment

• Experience Interpreting HR policies and consulting employees and leaders on policies

• Experience Managing and working with or under a collective bargaining unit agreement

Employee Referral Eligible

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
