Raytheon's Corporate Development team is looking for an Associate Director of Corporate Development to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, leading, executing, and supporting the full life cycle of acquisitions and divestitures, formation and dissolution of joint ventures, and similar transactions, for Raytheon.

You will be part of a highly collaborative team working across Raytheon, RTX business units, and functions, as well as external advisors, consultants, and key contacts from counterparties to our transactions. And will report to the Executive Director of Corporate Development for Raytheon.
This position is highly visible to Raytheon corporate leadership. You must develop and deliver highly effective communication packages to summarize project status and critical issues with senior executive leadership. You will exhibit an extraordinary work ethic, world class people skills, and have a demonstrated track record of successful transaction execution.
This Onsite position will be in one of the following Raytheon locations:
Woburn, MA; McKinney, TX; Tucson, AZ; Farmington, CT or Arlington, VA
Some travel required - domestic and international - to other RTX and target company sites.
What You Will Do
- Plan and execution of the full life cycle of acquisition and divestiture transactions.
- Engage with internal stakeholders and external advisors to identify and screen potential acquisition candidates.
- Develop target profiles, strategic rationales, and related financial analysis supporting transaction decisions
- Collaborate across functional and organizational boundaries to develop and execute detailed transaction plans.
- Develop and present highly effective executive communications.
- Cultivate and develop a talented team of colleagues.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree in a technical or business field, and 12 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and 10 years of experience.
- Experience with Aerospace and Defense and / or providing services to the industry.
- Experience with corporate development, investment banking, strategy consulting, or private equity investing
- Experience analyzing, leading, and supporting the execution of acquisition and divestiture transactions.
- Experience developing strategic business cases and related decision analysis.
- Experience with complex project planning, execution, tracking and reporting.
- Experience with researching and financial data services tools (such as FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg).
- Experience with financial modeling for pro-forma business modeling, transaction valuation analysis, DCF, etc.
- Experience with MS Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- MBA or equivalent.
- Experience with post transaction integration, and / or separation.
- Experience and comfort in developing and delivering presentations to senior executive leadership.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent business acumen regarding capital markets, business metrics, and strategic value drivers for public companies.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Versatility from detailed task execution to team leadership.
- Capability to build teams, work across functions to develop relationships, and lead with limited authority.
- Ability to listen, negotiate, influence and persuade.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
