The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:
Primary Purpose of Position
The RTX Corporate Tax Department is seeking an Associate Tax Director to be responsible for various tax accounting and domestic tax compliance analytics and research. The role will assist in the development of and alignment with strategic business and tax objectives to ensure the effects of income taxes on financial statements and income tax compliance processes are conducted as applicable. The successful candidate will communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with other members of the tax department, as well as other headquarters and business unit functions as appropriate and necessary.
What you will do:
Duties include but are not limited to
Review and support tax return modeling in Bloomberg Corporate Tax Analyzer software
Prepare quarterly FDII forecast, ad hoc modeling, and assist external consultant with tax return calculation.
Prepare quarterly long-term payable tax account analysis
Assist tax reporting team during year end close
Assist with special projects including preparation of management presentations, historical tax rate analysis, and review of tax rate and law changes
Assist Tax Risk Management group with audit settlement calculations
Collaborate with the tax planning function, as needed, to ensure accurate tax reporting of planning related initiatives
Lead continuous process improvements
Qualifications you must have:
This role typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field and at least 12 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree and 10 years of experience gained in a public accounting or large multinational corporate tax environment.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
Strong knowledge of tax accounting theory, including ASC740, ASC450, financial statement presentation, etc.
Strong knowledge of US Corporate income tax concepts, including international tax concepts such as subpart F, GILTI, and foreign tax credits.
General knowledge of tax planning & reporting functions

Proficiency in excel and analytical skills

Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
