The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

Our diverse, energetic, and collaborative Enterprise Application Services Strategy & Transformation team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Application Portfolio Data Analyst to spearhead the coordination and ownership of detailed inventory updates for our senior leadership teams. This role will focus on aligning the business unit app portfolios, ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable data for decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) practices, a deep commitment to process improvement, and the ability to collaborate across functions to align on strategic objectives. The ultimate goal is to ensure the application portfolio delivers maximum business value through clean, consistent, and reliable data.

What You Will Do:

  • Streamlined Application Portfolio Cleanup
  • Lead the program to cleanse and streamline the existing application portfolio inventory across all business units.
  • Drive alignment around data field attributes and definitions, starting with a focused effort on business application data cleanup.
  • Provide strategic direction for Application Portfolio Management (APM) objectives, ensuring consistency and preventing duplication of efforts across business units.
  • App Portfolio Management Leadership
  • Leverage industry standards and best practices to guide and support Enterprise harmonization initiatives.
  • Influence and collaborate with business units to adopt IT Asset Management (ITAM) best practices and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Process Standardization
  • Develop and implement standardized processes and procedures for application portfolio management across business units.
  • Ensure these processes are sustainable and scalable, contributing to the long-term efficiency of application management practices.
  • Application Data Sustainment & Long-Term Value
  • Establish and communicate a long-term vision for the application portfolio, ensuring it is aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Create and oversee a governance process for sustaining data quality, including ongoing efforts in data cleansing, maintenance, and updates.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Partner with contractors and stakeholders across the organization to develop and deliver clear, accurate, and timely reports on application portfolio metrics.
  • Provide insights on application performance, usage, and overall health, which will drive decision-making in line with key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with app portfolio managers across the business units to enhance collaboration and alignment.
  • Influence and improve communication channels and change management processes, minimizing risks and promoting a unified approach to portfolio management.
  • Up to 10-20% of travel may be required

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field and 8+ years of experience in business data analysis, inventory management, or a similar role in a technology-driven environment.
  • Previous experience in application portfolio tools such as; Planview Enterprise Architecture, ServiceNow,
  • Strong experience with data management and reporting tools such as; Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualification We Prefer:

  • Experience in Digital Technology, preferably supporting Enterprise Applications with Project Management and Scrum Master Experience
  • Ability to orchestrate across functional teams
  • Advanced skills in data visualization, analytical reporting, knowledge of enterprise application services, and an understanding of the complexities of managing service line data.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong ability to organize and synthesize large samples of data and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey. Over the course of the 14-week program, experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive coaching to guide their return-to-work experience. Upon completion of the program, based on performance and contributions participants will be eligible for a career at RTX.

Minimum Program Qualifications:

To qualify for the RTX, Re-Empower Program, candidates should:

  • Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application
  • Have prior experience in functional area of interest
  • Have interest in returning in either a full-time or part-time position

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
