Job Description

Enterprise Services Accounts Payable is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager. RTXs AP team processes a very high number of invoices and works with thousands of suppliers monthly. As the Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for providing customer service to internal and external customers by leading, mentoring, and managing a team of 10, manage the Training and Documentation for both Accounts Payable activity and resources for the RTX Businesses to leverage, as well as the Quality Control function. You will lead initiatives and related efforts to increase customer satisfaction, while delivering on our standards for customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead our customer service team to work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Lead initiatives to provide a seamless customer support experience, create partnerships with customers, partners, other team leaders to create a better customer experience.
  • Manage all daily and weekly technical support metrics, KPIs and SLAs, training, scheduling, and performance management of their team that contribute to departmental and company objectives.
  • Achieve customer service objectives by contributing customer service information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing and maintaining customer-service standards; problem resolution; identifying customer service trends; determining potential system improvements; implementing change.
  • Improve customer service quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; establishing and communicating service metrics; monitoring and analyzing results; implementing changes.
  • Establish and maintain solid communication and relationships with other department managers to ensure matters of escalation are addressed with urgency and resolved to the satisfaction of our customers.
  • Lead the Training and Documentation function to include providing written and video content as well as onsite training to enhance knowledge for users both internal and external to accounts payable
  • Lead the Quality Control function reviewing data from accounts payable transactions to determine where there are quality issues and root cause analysis to avoid future errors

Required Experience:

  • This role typically requires a bachelors degree in accounting, finance business or related field and 8 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in Accounting, finance or related field a with 5 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements."
  • At least 5 years experience and functional knowledge of AP Process, Systems, and regulations including AP cycles invoice processing, and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle
  • At least 5 years' experience providing team leadership and/or coaching to the team and interacting at all levels in the organization

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and quality
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes and flexible in adopting different areas of responsibilities as needed by the organization
  • Must be a self-starter who can work well within various situations (from well-defined to unstructured) and proactively identify business improvement areas.
  • Call Center Management
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP, Oracle and/or JDE

Hybrid: This is a hybrid role, eligible candidates must reside near an RTX hub (Cedar Rapids IA, Dallas TX, Tucson, AZ, Hartford CT).

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
