The Mechanical Engineering Team provides engineering design & development services to a wide range of hardware within Raytheon. The Agile Hardware Solutions (AHS) department is responsible for improving the cost competitiveness of the work products through both workforce efficiency and product affordability optimization.

AHS is seeking a Mechanical Engineering engineer to join the Hardware Requirement Verification section. The position is for an ON-SITE role in Tewksbury, MA. You would apply your skills to contribute to the requirement flow down, verification and Environment Stress Screening for hardware in programs for naval power and land and air defense systems strategic business units. Working as an advocate for Hardware Engineering, you will coordinate between Systems Engineering and the Hardware Team to allocate the requirements, compile verification artifacts working with Structural/Thermal Analysists and other subject matter experts and develop compliance packages for design reviews.
What You Will Do
- Flow down, allocation and derivation of mechanical hardware requirements that reflect the system level requirements.
- Verification planning and artifact generation for mechanical hardware requirements
- Determine gaps for existing/non-developed hardware against requirements
- Training and application of RTX tools including PDM and DOORS
- Collaboration with coworkers and diverse teams.
- Training on Raytheon processes and procedures
Qualifications You Must Have
- Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
- Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Specific majors: Mechanical Engineering
- 3.5 or above cumulative GPA desired
- Prior engineering project or internship experience
- Microsoft Office or other presentation tools
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with coworkers on cross-function teams from diverse communities and cultures

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
