At RTX BBN Technologies we invent new science by applying radical cross-discipline techniques to tangible prototype systems to prove concept viability. This is especially evident in our Physical Systems and Sciences group, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where scientists and engineers anticipate the future in very large and very small-scale scientific systems that need to survive challenged operating environments. We are seeking qualified and eager co-ops to become an integral part of this work

You will join a project team designing, analyzing, and prototyping innovative multi-domain system architectures. You will contribute on program teams providing support in areas such as system design, characterization, documentation and test. You will learn strategies for both free-form thinking and disciplined application. You will work with extraordinarily skilled team members, from project leadership to fellow interns.

Required Qualifications:

  • Student actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related technical field.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, various probes)
  • Exposure to reading and interpreting schematics, circuit, and system level block diagrams
  • Experience in design, simulation, analysis, and/or implementation on your own or as part of a project team.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Products; Word, Excel, Power Point

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bring-up and debug new hardware designs
  • Test and characterization of circuit designs
  • Execute system level testing and report results, write basic scripts to automate test processes.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, bash, etc.)
  • Prior experience Product Data Management Systems; Bills of Materials, product structure, configuration management.
  • Prior experience using ORCAD, KiCAD schematic and Layout tools.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or MATLAB

The salary range for this role is - . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
