This position will be working onsite from Miami.

Position Summary:

The Sr Manager, Social Media will develop and champion the social media strategy and grow followers across our core platforms and any other emerging platforms. You will lead cross-functional work and collaborate with strategic marketing, content, design, and communications to build experiences that deepen our guests' connection with the brand. This role will be accountable for delivering key results through compelling engagement with social platforms and across key online communities, management of social networks and creating global social programs that maximize the reach of the brand to passionate cruise and new-to-cruise fans globally. You will drive digital initiatives, including creating and supervising high-profile social channel accounts, curating user-generated content, launching viral marketing campaigns, monitoring social forums to keep positive sentiment, and integrating social media into the overall business strategy. The position requires a strong understanding of social media trends and their impact on a brand's business.

The role supervises the social media team and vendors and coordinates closely with the eCommerce, Go-to-market, Commercial Marketing, Brand PR, Corporate Communications, Customer Marketing, agency partners, and others to create and drive a global social media strategy. The position ensures our social media and consumer-generated content is fully integrated with other marketing and operational efforts across the brand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the social media team, ensuring a superior quality of strategic execution and project delivery is provided at all times.
  • Develop the strategic roadmap for social media integration throughout the vacation, planning experience driving social media integration where appropriate, including onboard our ships.
  • Enable our guests to tell the brand's story through social media conversations and user-generated content.
  • Coordinate the planning of social media campaigns, ensuring customer acquisition and supporting key marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee influencer strategy and community management efforts.
  • Continuously optimize messaging and content output efforts by setting benchmarks and analyzing data, ensuring campaign targets are met.
  • Manage and develop growth opportunities for a best-in-class team overseeing the brand's social media platforms and campaigns.
  • Lead channel-specific content development to maximize consumption and engagement across platforms for casual and avid fans alike.
  • Evaluate and bring perspective to new social media technologies/tools and present pros/cons of each in contributing to the digital platform's overall objectives and revenue potential.
  • Ideate, develop, manage, and execute social media programs and campaigns that help the company meet and succeed various business goals and objectives.
  • Leverage social media analytics to generate more impactful social campaigns and content.
  • Source and manage relationships with strategic partners, agencies and social monitoring platforms to support and develop operational and commercial opportunities.
  • Identify competitive opportunities and threats in social channels and develop appropriate responses.
  • Monitor social forums and execute communications strategically, proactively, and reactively.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales to understand audience personas, industry trends, and customer pain points to inform content creation.
  • Collaborate with Creative Director to package a unified social media visual and verbal system that follows our brand standards in a social-first manner.
  • Monitor content performance metrics, analyze data, and provide insights to refine content strategies and improve engagement.
  • Strategize, package, shape and present compelling narratives that resonate with our customers to build our brand.
  • Partner with the PR team to build engaging content that supports PR and Communication's efforts.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and content marketing best practices.
  • Establish an influential voice in shaping the growth of the Silversea brand, becoming the 'go-to' person for all organic content.
  • Enable go-to-market team members to leverage content to engage prospective customers in their cadences.
  • Provide weekly reporting and status updates to supervisor and executives when applicable.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Advertising, and/or related field experience.
  • 8-10+ years' experience in content marketing and/or social media role
  • Experienced marketer with proven expertise at developing and implementing strategic plans
  • Experience in leading global initiatives
  • Demonstrated success with high-profile digital and social media marketing campaigns
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and monitoring tools.
  • Strong familiarity with digital marketing best practices.
  • Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure and able to manage a fast-paced work environment and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fantastic ability to organize and present ideas, materials, and concepts creatively.
  • Global outlook.
  • Positive approach to problem solving through analytical thinking and operational efficacy.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Understanding of consumer, product, brand, and competitive research.
  • Strong critical decision-making and excellent communication skills.
  • Cross-functional leadership expertise in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Self-starter with ability to maintain poise when dealing with ambiguity.
  • Experience creating and managing detailed timelines.
  • Superior verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite Products.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
