Position Summary:
The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for global strategic planning and sourcing across RCG, in collaboration with internal stakeholders. This responsibility includes overseeing all contract negotiations, managing and coordinating the activities of the staff engaged in fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Procurement function.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive knowledge of export regulations to all markets in which RCG operates and executes accordingly.
- Leads Integrated Business Plan (IBP) across all disciplines, ensuring annual KPI targets are met.
- Collaborates with internal partner as it relates to organization's Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) making certain Procurement is compliant and meets Company's commitment.
- Organizes, manages, and directs the work of the employees in the assigned procurement function; overseeing the assignment of duties, responsibilities, and workstations to employees; approves personnel actions such as new hire requests and discharges, to ensure proper staffing.
- Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports.
- Ensures that total costs are identified, and optimal savings are realized throughout the entire purchasing process
- Designs, implements, manages, and monitors procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.
- Recruits and maintains suppliers that provides Innovative ideas, high-quality products and service at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
- Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
- Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred
- Managerial experience in a cruise line or maritime shipping environment related to procurement and/or supply chain function
- Ability to manage the financial aspects of the assigned procurement function, including the successful identification of expense reduction through cost efficiencies
- Ability to manage headcount within area
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal service including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and customer satisfaction evaluation techniques
- Knowledge of policies and practices involved in the Human Resources function
- Ability to manage a staff in a positive and productive manner by motivating, developing and managing employees as they work.
- Ability to utilize and administer the disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling to improve performance or terminate employment
- Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from, management, co-workers, shipboard employees, and vendors
- Working knowledge of computers, Internet access, and the ability to navigate within a variety of Microsoft software packages such as Excel and Word. Knowledge of automated accounting systems preferred
