About the Role
The Data privacy team is expanding and seeking an experienced senior data privacy/AI governance to join our compliance and ethics team. You will play a key role in overseeing, advising and ensuring that our processes, practices, policies and systems comply with global privacy regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of data protection regulations, privacy impact assessments, and security best practices. The ideal candidate will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of privacy policies, ensure adherence to relevant regulations, and act as a liaison between stakeholders to foster a culture of privacy and compliance.
Job Duties
- Support the DPO on a broad range of data privacy, information security and AI governance related matters.
- Assist the DPO in keeping abreast of legal and regulatory changes in data privacy laws and regulations including AI regulations, globally, and advise business on impact as relevant.
- Develop and maintain privacy and AI governance policies, procedures, and standards, aligning them with industry best practices.
- Perform data protection impact assessments (DPIA) and risk assessments for high-risk initiatives to identify privacy risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Review a wide range of agreements and include data processing obligations as appropriate.
- Serve as the go-to expert on day-to-day data privacy and AI ethics matters, providing guidance to product, engineering, and business functions on responsible data practices.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of data flows ensuring data is collected, processed, stored, and shared in accordance with privacy standards.
- Collaborate with legal team to interpret regulations, respond to audits, and develop strategies for managing regulatory changes.
- Partner with product, engineering and information security teams to incorporate privacy by design principles into data processing workflows and AI models.
- Support the DPO to develop and deliver training programs and workshops on data privacy topics, with a focus on AI-related challenges.
- Serve as point of contact and coordinate response to data subject requests (DSRs) working with relevant business functions.
- Monitor the privacy inbox and respond to relevant queries.
- Work cross-functionally within new privacy liaison structure to further embed data privacy advice on business initiatives.
- Conduct scheduled review of data privacy notices and update as necessary in line with processing activities.
- Foster a culture of data privacy awareness across the organisation.
