The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Associate, Product Innovation on the Private Destinations Development Team reporting to the Manager, Product Innovation.

This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida

The Sr. Associate, Product Innovation defines and develops strategic positioning for key consumer projects, which may include new ships and venues, modernized vessels, fleetwide programming, and brand product strategies, all with the goal of delivering the best vacations for Royal Caribbean International's guests. This role will help develop concepts and strategies that directly respond to consumer insights, white space opportunities, and business needs in order to define the future of the vacation experience for the Royal Caribbean brand.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strategic, analytical, and creative thinking skills. Additionally, strong written and verbal communications skills including storytelling and presentation abilities are essential as well. This role requires the ability to be part of an agile and collaborative team and a desire to work in an innovative, fast-paced, and future-facing environment.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop guest-centric product strategies that are grounded in consumer insights and ladder up to the Royal Caribbean brand promise.
  • Develop innovative concepts that enhance the guest experience and create meaningful differentiation in a competitive vacation industry.
  • Play a role in the product innovation process to define the brand's approach, strategy, idea generation, organizational buy-in, and final concepts for new guest experiences.
  • Partner with the Analytics, Consumer Insights, Guest Experience, and Finance teams to develop research plans that result in uncovering of new, relevant insights.
  • Analyze diverse data sources to make data driven recommendations for strategies and concepts.
  • Partner cross-functionally to socialize strategic vision/direction and gain alignment on concepts.
  • Create presentations and briefs showcasing the strategy and concepts to share recommendations and gain buy-in from senior management and CEO.
  • Build and develop the critical thinking, strategic thinking, and creativity of team members.
  • Own multiple project workstreams at once and develop strategies in conjunction with manager

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study
  • Minimum 3-4 years of career experience; previous advertising, consulting, brand innovation, strategy, travel/cruise industry experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge and passion for the travel and hospitality sectors
  • Strong creative thinking with ability to develop innovative ideas and solutions
  • Strong storytelling and presentation skills, experience presenting to executive leadership
  • Attention to detail and follow-through
  • Candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership
  • Ability to collaborate with others, build strong and sustainable relationships, and interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Ability and desire to take initiative and ownership of workstreams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to analyze data and research results to make recommendations
  • Ability to apply strong analytical, conceptual, and strategic thinking
  • Exceptional presentation skills, including strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at the senior-most executive levels of a company
  • Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel)
