Position Summary:

Revenue Management is responsible for both strategic and tactical initiatives related to revenue maximization. As a member of the Revenue Management Department, the candidate will have the opportunity to set strategic direction, determine pricing, create promotions, and explore new distribution opportunities. The candidate will create and own the implementation of a business plan and product strategy. The candidate will have exposure to senior management and work closely with Sales, Marketing, Trade Support and Services, and Reservations.

This position will report onsite in Miami, FL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for decisions that drive in excess of $400M in annual net ticket revenue, including the development of the annual plan and monthly forecasts of net ticket revenue, as well as leading a team of analysts to manage pricing and inventory in order to achieve revenue goals.
  • Responsible for the development and communication of a strategic business plan for each product. This includes determining strategies on pricing, implementation of promotions, global guest sourcing, currency management, and maximization of occupancy.
  • Responsible for developing strategic and tactical responses to changes in competitive deployment, pricing, and strategy.
  • Responsible for the management and implementation of the business plan, including reviewing strategies and current demand to ensure the strategy is on target. This includes analyzing and developing action plans in response to changes in micro-economic trends for assigned inventory, as well as the broader industry.
  • Communicate the status of the current business environment and strategies regarding assigned products to Sales, Marketing, International, and Fleet Operations.
  • Determine and implement strategic pricing for each category and sailing for all new deployment. Train, develop, and provide ongoing guidance and support to a team of analysts in setting prices and managing inventory. This will include regular coaching and mentoring, including regular one-on-one sessions with product analysts and administrators.
  • Lead major cross-functional initiatives. Plan and coordinate strategies with Sales, Marketing, Trade Support, and Air/Sea to improve future revenue performance.
  • Maintain, optimize, and create analytical tools, including understanding of demand trends and booking curves by key segments, finding efficiencies, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master's degree (MA) preferred. Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university required with a focus in a quantitative discipline preferred.
  • Two to four years of related experience in financial/business analysis or a related field required.
  • Must be able to demonstrate understanding of revenue management concepts and tools and demonstrate understanding of basic economics.
  • Previous experience with Sales or Marketing preferred.
  • Previous experience in implementing system enhancements and decision-making tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management.
  • Previous experience with leading a team and coaching preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high-quality, clear, and concise presentations required.

Knowledge & Skills:
  • To perform this position successfully, the individual should be a self-starter and be able to complete a project with little direction. Furthermore, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving and problem identification.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret revenue performance data.
  • Ability to make strategic and tactical decisions with large financial impacts with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to structure logically quantitative analyses of complex issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a global environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Brio Intelligence/Hyperion Studio, Word, and PowerPoint required, and the ability to manipulate data essential.
  • Knowledge of reservations systems and revenue management data preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility.
  • Ability to operate in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated maturity.
  • Ability to teach and coach.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities at once.
