The Senior Analyst, Onboard Revenue Data & Analytics will help drive the growth of Onboard Revenue across the Silversea business including Concessionaire, Services, and Shorex revenue. The Sr Analyst will support the inventory, pricing and analysis efforts while working closely with operational, analytical and OBR and Shores teams, and teams in Hotel Operations. This involves creating a strategy for managing, understanding as well as analyzing the exponentially increasing amount of onboard revenue and Pre-cruise sales opportunities for OBR, including the launch of dynamic pricing for pre-cruise booking and onboard sales. Along with this, the role requires helping manage inventory and pricing, as well as forecasting, target setting and driving the automation efforts across all reporting and processes for all OBR areas including current and new offerings. The Sr Analyst will provide actionable insights to executive staff while leading/participating in ad-hoc or other specific projects for analysis and optimization of all areas of onboard revenue as needed. The Sr Analyst will also be responsible for guiding and implementing incremental technology to support guest experience for interacting with onboard offers and the pre-cruise and onboard price optimization, packaging, and promotion of all OBR categories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists OBR, Shorex teams in revenue generation by utilizing data and implementing a wide range of operational as well as analytical solutions and influence the business by effectively communicating results to management.
  • Reviews, analyzes and provides recommendations for pricing, promotional and product initiatives, including the reduction of test data into concise, actionable business recommendations to optimize yield, revenue performance and revenue driving programs.
  • Helps manage pricing, inventory, and promotional efforts in multiple online systems and provides a wide range of solutions and support to grow onboard revenue.
  • Support internal OBR planning and forecasting processes to answer product and business needs.
  • Provides recommendations on inventory optimization for Shorex and OBR teams.
  • Performs analysis to prove effectiveness of pricing changes during frequent PCP online promotions; creates recommendations on adjustments based on impact.
  • Works closely with OBR and Shorex teams to understand their business challenges and objectives and identify opportunities to develop potential business improvements, and efficiency gains .
  • Develops, manages, and provides recommendations from ongoing reports, including leadership updates.
  • Responds to ad-hoc data and analysis needs while supporting various projects and conducts analyses of business data, evaluate trends and pattern changes, and learn to disperse results in a format appropriate for the audience.
  • Assists with the development of forecasts using benchmarking and other techniques to continually improve the accuracy of these forecasts; implements more precise forecasts with developments in guest understanding.
  • Analyzes the business across data sets to optimize guest offers; integrates data sets and builds holistic reporting on guests and performance drivers; draws actionable insights and presents to relevant stakeholders across levels.
  • Transforms large data sets into insightful components that will effectively develop pricing strategies and lead to continued iterative growth of revenue.
  • Represents onboard revenue when required specifically with many of the Shared Services departments, to gain support for initiatives.
  • Manages the implementation of relevant areas of Silversea's technology roadmap including potential implementation of inventory management and dynamic pricing capabilities; manages implementation of all approved changes.
  • Performs any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Four-year Bachelor's or equivalent (MBA or MS preferred); or two to three years related financial and business analysis experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarization and experience in revenue management, inventory and pricing concepts strongly preferred.
  • Experience in cruise, casino, hospitality or a similar industry preferred.
  • Microsoft Office (Excel including macros, pivots, Word, PowerPoint) and deep analytical skills are required.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, VBA, SAS, Essbase and Hyperion preferred.
  • Strong written as well as verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work in global environment.
  • Proven experience in data analysis including finding and understanding the correct data sources for a given analysis.
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and responsibilities at once with little direction.
  • Proven experience in project management, including tech rollout management.
  • Understanding of the business in order to validate findings and conclusions and always ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Willingness to accept immediate product and project responsibility; end to end ownership for recommendations and implementation of approved changes.
  • Facilitate meetings and present solutions to issues with groups while dealing with variety of variables in situations where no standardization exists.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from other departments, customers, or broader stakeholder groups both shoreside and shipboard.
  • This position requires travel up to 20% of total time working onboard to support and improve shipboard operations.
