The Royal Caribbean Group has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Analyst, Corporate Strategy reporting to the Lead of Corporate Strategy.

This position works on-site in Miami, Florida

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Analyst of Corporate Strategy with exceptional data analytics capabilities to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate strategy, data analytics, and data visualization.

As a Senior Analyst of Corporate Strategy, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic initiatives, conducting in-depth analyses, and providing actionable insights to support the company's growth and profitability. Your technical expertise in data analytics will be pivotal in shaping our strategic direction and decision-making processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Analysis and Planning
    • Conduct comprehensive market, industry, and competitive research and analyses to inform strategic decisions.
    • Develop and implement strategic frameworks and models to evaluate business opportunities.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and refine corporate strategy and long-term goals.
  • Data Analytics and Insights
    • Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in SQL to develop and own corporate strategy data tables, create custom queries, and perform custom data analyses on a recurring basis to support strategic initiatives (e.g., customer lifetime value analysis).
    • Demonstrate comfort in programming languages such as Python or R to automate data extraction, transformation, and analytic processes.
    • Demonstrate comfort using relational database management systems for in-depth strategic analyses and reporting. Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based data systems preferred.
    • Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
    • Perform trend analysis and other data analytics techniques to forecast business performance.
    • Generate actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Reporting and Visualization
    • Create and deliver comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
    • Demonstrate ability to visualize complex data in an understandable and actionable manner. Experience developing PowerBI dashboards preferred.
  • Collaboration and Leadership
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, marketing, and operations, to gather data and align on strategic objectives.
    • Mentor and guide junior analysts in data analytics and strategic analysis methodologies.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and corporate strategy.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Education
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate strategy and/or data analytics role.
    • Proven track record of utilizing data analytics to drive strategic decisions and business growth.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in SQL is a must.
    • Proficiency in other programming languages such as Python or R are preferred.
    • Strong expertise in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
    • In-depth knowledge of database management systems and optimization (e.g., Oracle/Hyperion/SQL Server/Toad/Databricks).
    • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
    • Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey complex data insights clearly and concisely.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring and developing team members.
