We're looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Lead Revenue Planning Analyst to join our team at an exciting time, as we plan for the future. The lead will ensure seamless integration with current and future financial systems in conjunction with accounting and revenue planning requirements. The Lead will also play a pivotal role in ensuring that all revenue reporting is accurate from an accounting perspective and updated on a consistent basis; this includes staying abreast of revenue recognition policy, impacts to the brand's deployments and communicating any revenue and/or volume impacts on a regular basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for integration of the new ERP system from the Revenue Planning perspective. Ensures transparency at the voyage, market and channel level within the ERP system. Develop and execute test plans as needed to assist in validation. Knowledge of industry standards strongly preferred.
- Responsible for validation of weekly revenue reports; working with RMDS team on a consistent basis if any issues arise to make changes as necessary. This is a critical report for the revenue management and revenue planning teams and drives key business decisions.
- Key liaison with accounting team to ensure Revenue Reports is GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliant and consistent with revenue recognition policy.
- The Lead will own the Net Ticket Revenue model and Net Ticket Revenue forecast in excess of $11B annually. This includes constant collaboration with internal partners and understanding of internal processes around deployment changes, sailing attributes and revenue recognition. Also, the Lead owns the Forecast Automation Tool and ensures that the tool is concurrent with the new ERP system changes.
- Responsible for reporting accuracy - this includes the frequent analysis, updating, and maintenance of the financial standards process within our reporting and aligned with accounting principles currently in place. This includes constant working with RMDS team on enhancing tools and reporting accuracy. This also includes owning the relationship with technical accounting on external financial reporting.
- Owns the buildup and analysis of Penalty Income Forecast, including the segmentation of penalty income and understanding how internal policies may influence refund behavior.
- Manage and foster relationships with various internal stakeholders and continuously search for potential business improvements, revenue opportunities and efficiency gains.
- Provide ongoing support, coaching, and guidance to the team of senior analyst and analysts in all aspects of revenue management and financial analysis. Lead and manage major cross functional initiatives.
- Responsible for ensuring that the forecast and Revenue Reports is aligned with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Responsible for Revenue Plannings integration of new ERP system, including the sharing of sailing level information within the corporation to ensure a standardized deployment forecast.
- Responsible for developing, reporting on, and adjusting revenue Plan and Forecasts more than $11 billion.
- Responsible for managing and forecasting other revenue components such as Penalty Income
- Responsible for communicating financial information to varied audiences, along with preparing analysis for use with external parties. \
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) or master's degree (M. A.) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year University required.
- 5 years of work experience in an analytical field, and preferably within the cruise industry and with a strong focus in accounting.
- Understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and GAAP requirements.
- Demonstrated understanding of revenue management and complex economic concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality, clear and concise presentations required.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data.
