NOTE: This is a full-time in-person role based in the company's headquarters in Miami, FL. Applicants must be available to work in Miami- Thursday, with work from home on Friday.

Position Summary:

The Lead, Deployment & Destination Strategy, defines and develop the Brand's long term deployment strategy through quantitative analysis. This position impacts the revenue and profitability of the brand through leading Royal Caribbean International's global Deployment, Destination Development, and Market Planning. Under the direction of the Manager, this role provides strategic guidance for Private Destinations, Port Investments, Newbuild business cases, and Royal Amplified business cases. This person will be responsible for understanding the business on a global scale and translating that into a long-term outlook of the brand and its future. In addition, this person works closely with executive leadership to incorporate all viewpoints into the deployment decision making process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops the deployment strategy for the Royal Caribbean International brand and communicates to internal partners and ensures deployment strategy aligns with overall brand strategy
  • Collaborates with the Business Development and Product Development teams to evaluate and model multiple destination investments to secure the brands deployment future
  • Partner with New Build and Product Development to create business cases for new ships and ship classes business cases for private destinations and port investments
  • Works with all departments across the brand on inputs to deployment analysis and decision-making, considering the different perspectives, incorporating these differences into the analysis and making an optimal and impartial recommendation
  • Leads effort with other brand partners and Deployment to prepare senior executive level presentations for Royal Caribbean Deployment Planning
  • Establish centralized database of port berthing preferences, fee structures, and contract terms to ensure long term viability and preferential stronghold in critical ports
  • Supports process of new deployment opening in partnership with project manager.
  • Continually researches and identifies opportunities to optimize deployment to improve profitability and guest satisfaction
  • Integrating and analyzing data from multiple sources using such tools as Alteryx, Hyperion Interactive Reports, Toad, Essbase and Java script.

Knowledge & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required, and MBA preferred; four to six years of business analytics experience.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with proven ability to digest and synthesize large amounts of data and information into executive-level reports and documents.
  • Itinerary planning and/or revenue management experience highly desired.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects. Proven track record of collaborating effectively with all levels and functions in an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver high quality, clear and concise presentations
  • Pro-active and collaborative approach.
  • Critical thinker, who demonstrates drive and a desire to improve processes where appropriate
  • Alteryx, SQL, PowerBI, or other reporting & dashboarding skills required
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Basic Data Mining (i.e. Hyperion)
  • Able to build good working relationships with personnel at all levels located at the corporate offices and global offices.
  • In depth knowledge of the industry, how profits are generated, and familiarity with key industry data.
  • Requires outstanding business writing and oral communications skills and the ability to create and deliver presentations to senior executives and others.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with ability to handle multiple projects.
