Position Summary:

The Lead, Copy is an expert in their field, responsible for driving the development of strategic messaging and creative concepts across multiple channels. They are a master of brand tone, a keen strategic thinker, and a collaborative teammate and an inventive problem solver. This role is instrumental in producing high-quality work as both an independent contributor and a collaborator, ensuring that all creative outputs align with brand guidelines, quality standards, and business objectives. The Lead, Copy works closely with various departments, including Marketing, Sales and Executive leadership, to understand their unique needs and guide creative projects to deliver impactful communications. Key responsibilities include strategic concepting, copy direction, and the review and adaptation of brand standards. This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, swiftly adapting to changing priorities to support the brand's overall strategy and drive brand awareness and revenue growth

This position will report onsite in Miami, FL

Key Responsibilities:
  • Elevate and explore copy, messaging and creative possibilities to ensure the brand maintains an evolving presence in the marketplace, balancing innovation with adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Concept and develop cohesive marketing campaigns assets and creative materials across digital and traditional advertising channels to achieve business goals and advance brand strategy.
  • Create impactful messaging that is on-brand and drives the continuous evolution of the brand's tone, from conception through execution.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice across all creative materials and channels, through ongoing development and implementation of brand guidelines. Ensure adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, and global teams to ensure creative work aligns with business objectives and brand standards.
  • Develop strategic messaging for overarching campaigns while preserving brand voice.
  • Produce a full range of print and digital assets for divisions companywide, including Marketing, Sales, Operations, Product Development, and other departments.
  • Partner with fellow creatives to devise multiple conceptual options that meet business needs.
  • Confidently and effectively present creative work to key stakeholders, including internal management and executive leadership.
  • Ensure final materials are accurate, of the highest quality, and comply with governing laws (e.g., trademarked symbols, country of origin, offer communication).
  • Manage multiple project timelines in a fast-paced environment, maintaining clear communication and adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, and global teams to ensure efficient asset distribution and minimize work redundancy.
  • Motivate fellow creative team members to find creative solutions within the constraints of time, budget, and project volume.
  • Provide daily feedback and forward-looking direction to support fellow creatives and more junior team members as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to drive efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve return on investment.
  • Adapt to additional responsibilities as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, English and/or related field experience

  • Must be creative, passionate, detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Must be a team player

Essential qualifications and skills:
  • Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills, as well as a deep knowledge of English grammar and punctuation.
  • Portfolio of impressive real-world work samples showcasing versatility and a mastery of brand tone across print, digital, and non-traditional media.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, clear and concise communication, and a commitment to producing high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Familiarity with print, non-traditional, and online media.
  • Strong working knowledge of brand development and the creative process.
  • Ability to both lead and collaborate on projects from concept to completion, applying best practices and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Office, and familiarity with both Mac and Windows environments.
  • Passion, integrity, drive, and energy.

Additional Information as Required:

Physical demands and working conditions and environment: The position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds. Requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines such as computers, printers and telephones. Requires flexibility to work occasional overtime, evening hours and weekends. Works in a typical office environment with moderate noise generated by telephone conversations, computer, printer, copier and light traffic.
