Position Summary:

Responsible for providing prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service to internal customers related to all inquiries for non-standard hotel and transfer services such as night extensions, upgrades, deviations and customized arrangements. In addition, this role is also accountable for the management of a designated set of overnight cities/ports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts front-end activities related to hotel & transfer products such as executing requests, daily tasks, projects, and emergencies
  • Maintains knowledge of all aspects of hotel & transfer products, policies & procedures, and is a source of knowledge for reservations and direct sales teams
  • Establishes relationships with global hotel contacts (third-party suppliers) and curates hotel portfolio accordingly with well-established brands
  • Manages the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for designated set of hotel overnight cities during the planning, sourcing, negotiating, and contracting stages
  • Assists in the configuration of hotels & transfers for new voyage launches and in the reconfiguration of any itinerary changes affecting turnaround ports
  • Monitors inventory for hotel and transfer items proactively and periodically in reservations system and determines proper increases/decreases to allotments
  • Contributes to arrangements needed for special voyages and events linked to these voyages, which may include weekends, holidays, and ocassional travel
  • Supports projects such as enhancing of offerings and promotional strategies
  • Provides best possible customer service all while maintaining the integrity of the company as well as external partners/vendors
  • Partners closely with colleagues in Destination Experience and Expeditions Teams while supporting the Senior Manager & Senior Coordinator of Turnaround & Tour Operations

Qualifications and Education

  • BSc/BA or equivalent professional experience in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality
  • Minimum 3 years in the cruise/travel industry, hotel industry, travel agency

Knowledge and Skills

  • Deep knowledge of travel/cruise industry and geography
  • Familiarity in shoreside programs (i.e. Hotels, Ground Services, Tour Transfers)
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Lotus Notes and/or Outlook
  • Must be able to provide knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and efficient service by e-mail and phone
  • High degree of organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Possess a positive, helpful, team-player attitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
