The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Global Logistics and Inventory will oversee the Global Warehousing, Transport, and Inventory operations teams, ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods from origin to destination.
This role provides leadership for the sourcing, and logistics oversight of all categories of goods (Food, Beverage, Hotel, Marine technical) in support of our Brands, Private Destinations and required inventory flows worldwide.
The position will lead a 90+ staff with 3 to 5 direct reports overseeing 15k+ shipments per year across ~$200m+ spend including Ocean freight, freight forwarders, Over the Road carriers, and 20+ Warehousing partners.
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, capable of managing complex logistics processes and driving continuous improvement while collaborating with our internal and external stakeholders to ensure flawless Logistics service to the business.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies to support the company's overall business objectives.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Budget Management: Manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with logistics service providers and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms and services.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor KPIs to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Technology Integration: Leverage technology and automation to improve logistics processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
- Develop an integrated strategic plan that continually improves the cost, quality and experience of the logistics department.
- Key initiative will include process, global contracting for services, quality assurance as well as leveraging of our company's growth for the next 10 years to obtain the most favorable rates.
- Leads all aspects of port-related vendor relationships including the analysis of competitive bid, financial analysis, negotiation, contracting, operations planning, reporting, invoice approval, training and quality assurance.
- Provide directions to the team on reviewing competitive analysis on bids received from multiple vendors in each port and negotiates best pricing transportation.
- Set KPIs for the operational team and hold the team accountable for meeting those targets. •
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure operating spend is aligned with forecast and projection to advance department strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with finance department to develop annual operating forecast with risk and opportunity distinction. •
- Communicate openly and directly with senior leadership to resolve conflicts and embed financial advice into relevant operating and business decisions while advancing business strategic priorities.
- Analyzes and monitors industry benchmarks, market trends and best practices for turn operations and identifies opportunities to fulfill and influence corporate strategy and cost saving opportunities
- Manage external vendor deliverables to ensure requirements, timelines and expectations of the operations are being met.
- Continuously evaluates and audit operational performance as well as establishing and implementing strategies to improve the efficiency and quality of service provided to the employees.
- Remains aware of internal and external conditions, industry innovations and best practices and applies this knowledge as appropriate in managing and leading the logistics operations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 5-10 years in a leadership role.

FINANCIAL/QUANTITIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
This role has a direct oversight of ~$200+ annual freight spend across RCG and Supplier Managed Freight, covering all modes of transport.
This role has a direct oversight of ~20+ warehouse locations (3PL and Freight Forwarder operated).
This role has a direct oversight of all ~$120m+ of On hand Inventory as well as the flow of goods to our Groups' Ships, Private Destinations, New Build and Modernization projects.
