POSITION SUMMARY:
The Global Crew Readiness Associate will be responsible for all aspects of back-office support process; the distribution of work may vary based on relevant skills, experience, and business need or as otherwise determined by management. However, in any case, the associate should maximize his/her time for efficiency and effectiveness to help the Employee Experience team in all aspects of the back-office support processes to achieve weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create E1 ID numbers of new hire shipboard and island employees. Ensure all information is accurate in the system.
- Manages the Inboxes under the area of responsibility (e.g., Background Checks, E1 ID, GCCR, TUI etc) and ensures actionable items are addressed in a timely manner.

- Provides timely and customer-focused service to new hires, returning crew and internal customers
- Ensures each new hire and returning crew receives general orientation and the most positive and expeditious onboarding experience.
- Liaises with Recruiters, Crew assist, Schedulers, Visa team, Port Agents, School, Authorized Referral Sources, RCL Manning Agency and Hiring Managers when appropriate, to ensure needs are met in a timely manner.
- Validates and monitors all new hire, returning crew and island employee's documents before they join the ship or going to the island and ensures all information is being updated and aligned in E1
- Under the guidance of his/her supervisor, ensures he/she has the latest information related to visas, medical, STCW and formal requirements for shipboard roles and island employee
- Works diligently to resolve all onboarding related situations and escalates any irregularities to the Supervisor, Global Crew Readiness support; consistently tries to increase efficiency and effectiveness
- Performs all administrative and documentation tasks related to the onboarding of shipboard employees and island employees and Global Crew Readiness Support function
- Consistently meets the performance metrics set by the management team
- Performs other duties as required. As needed, participates in special projects assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, hospitality management, business administration, or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred
- Minimum two years of recruitment/cruise industry experience; proven ability to source, interview, and screen candidates (including management candidates for senior positions) - preferably for shipboard positions
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative related experience. Previous experience in the cruise industry highly preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Must be available to work a flexible work schedule (night shifts, as required)
- Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills in the English language
- Incredible focus on superior customer service to internal and external clients and an innate desire to go above and beyond to achieve excellence
- Strong problem-solving ability and tenacious follow-up skills
- Ability to accurately and articulately document information; extraordinary attention to detail
- Working knowledge of computers and desire to work with new and innovative technology.
- Ability to acquire knowledge of general shipboard functions on a cruise ship, and the general concept of the shipboard organization. Familiarity of world geography and time differences.
- Ability to productively work under tight time constraints and stressful situations.
- Knowledge of automated human resource systems preferred.
