Position Summary:
The Sourcing Associates assists in the execution of all activities and initiatives for strategic sourcing to serve the global requirement for the talent acquisition programs and activities of all aspects for both shipboard (Global) staffing at all levels. The Sourcing Associate is responsible for requisition and candidate management executing sourcing plans and overall sourcing tactics regarding the talent market as well as seeking out opportunities for continuous process improvement. In collaboration with recruiters, the Sourcing Associate effectively uses resources to attract, identify, and screen the best talent globally in the most efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Explores current trends and best practices in the market in the recruitment and staffing, making sure that the company is at par in terms of these best practices and trends
- Ascertains that the company's recruitment and sourcing efforts and activities are geared towards Employment Branding which promotes the organizations Human Resources motto "Great vacations start with great employees" thus enticing a larger populace of candidates and applicants joining the organization.
- Previews and sources appropriate talent directly and through various sources to meet the requirements of the departments and/or vessels' needs
- Responsible for sourcing all positions within the assigned business units outlined which may include special projects, high volume and emerging talent.
- Executes sourcing strategies and methods to develop proactive talent pools that align with both the short and long-term needs of the business
- Administers posting on various multimedia platforms such as Social Media contexts, Job boards and other similar platforms for implementation of sourcing strategy
- Assist in the execution of various campaigns and programs for recruiting activities in universities, industry tie-up (i.e. Job Fair or Career Fair), government assisted initiatives (i.e. DOLE portal, Public Employment Assistance Units, and the likes), and other similar arrangements to continuously build a stable talent pool.
- Travels to various international or domestic locations as needed to support recruitment events.
- Collaborates with Recruiters to develop markets around the globe as necessary; when necessary, partners with the necessary team(s) to establish, develop, and maintain relationships with a network of hiring partners, recruiting agencies, executive recruiters and related sources that efficiently recruit for all staffing requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Works with recruiters to review and understand the forecasted needs for talent acquisition, as well as responding to just-in-time requests.
- Identifies appropriate applicants that meet specific functional hiring requirements and updates statuses respectively within the company Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Conducts regular review of interview questionnaires and revises it as appropriate to suit market/s handled
- May conduct preliminary interviews candidates to determine the individual's adaptability to the shipboard environment
- Assists in evaluating candidates using competency-based interviewing techniques and providing recommendations of best fit candidates to recruiters.
- Promotes a feedback mechanism on all applications processed (hired or not) to improve recruitment procedure
- Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications
- Immediately address and resolve application disputes or concerns that may directly or indirectly affect company image and sourcing effectiveness, as it arises. Assists and supports candidates with the application process
- Proactively ensures that as capacity increases as a result of ship new-builds, company is prepared to properly staff those ships at all levels
- Ability to meet sourcing targets and metrics, reviews various productivity reports to measure the effectiveness of sourcing processes and strategies
- Communicates job offers to approved candidates in accordance with company policy.
- Ensures job description is shared to each candidate
- Manages own workflow and complies with recruitment standard operating procedures, processes, and company policies
- Meets operational business goals and KPIs. Utilizes various reports and dashboards to monitor productivity, effectiveness, and overall sourcing candidate management status for shipboard recruiting.
- Implements proper cost controls to ensure each dollar spent in sourcing for a candidate is maximized and well spent, without sacrificing quality
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration, or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent required.
- Minimum two (2) years' experience in working for a global/international or reputable local organization in the same capacity.
- Experience in the Hospitality/BPO/HR Shared services organizations would be a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply judgment to ambiguous situations required
- Working knowledge of computers, internet access, and the ability to navigate within an automated HRIS system as well as variety software packages such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiar with social media and relevant company/brand efforts
- Good working knowledge in recruitment strategies and talent pool management
- Knowledge of accepted human resources practices and the laws governing employment and fair treatment of employees globally
- Must be tactful, resolute, and committed to providing excellent customer service
- Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information
- Must have a flexible approach to change, is able to work effectively in a variety of situations, seeks improvements and looks to the future.
- Ability to productively work under tight time constraints with competing priorities and potentially stressful situations
- Strong written and presentational skills; ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences including management
- Ability to work with colleagues, managers, suppliers and stakeholders in effective partnership.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Based in APAC Corporate Office - Manila
