Position Summary

  • The Analyst will be responsible to support the ships in areas that he/she overseas, eg uniforms, coffee program and amenities or any other project delegated.
  • This position will also be responsible for all inventories of shipboard items and provide consolidated report to Director of Housekeeping
  • Maintain ship KPI reports and distribute both shoreside and shipboard
  • Must be able to communicate with all levels of management both shipboard and shore-side.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research and introduce any new technologies that can assist the Housekeeping department to function more efficient.
  • Be the contact person for Excalibur in regard to all Housekeeping technology development and work with Shoreside team and Shipboard team to have products launched
  • Manages the Christmas décor and uniform program with assistance of the Housekeeping Director
  • Researches and introduces new chemicals and equipment.
  • Establishes and monitors chemical inventory par levels and consumption on each vessel.
  • Establishes and monitors (pool) deck furniture and equipment inventories.
  • Establishes and monitors linen and terry inventories.
  • Maintain and produce reports related to ship KPI's and Maintain the HAT tool for stateroom inspections
  • Manages Housekeeping SharePoint that houses Housekeeping SOPs and SQM.
  • Identify and track all SQM and SOP updates. And update the SQM updated received in the SQM application and keep the SharePoint updated with SOP's
  • Monitors ship appearance and ship cleanliness ratings for the Fleet and highlights variances to target.
  • Identifies potential areas of improvement and savings in close collaboration with the Shipboard teams with focus on efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of the Housekeeping
  • Preparing and formatting any presentation and meeting agenda that will be used in fleets calls or housekeeping initiative. And keep accurate meeting minutes of all

Financial Responsibilities

  • Manages the SharePoint for housekeeping financials.
  • On a yearly in conjunction with the Housekeeping Shoreside team reviewing all of Housekeeping Budgets and present to leadership and financial team.

Qualifications

  • A degree of administrative knowledge
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry eg. maintenance and cleaning from cruising industry, hotels, hospitals, large office buildings.
  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Would be beneficial to have some design knowledge, as skills are required to put presentations together.
  • Would be beneficial to have sound knowledge and have attended mandatory Vessel Sanitation Program (VSP) training.
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time both international and domestic.
  • Must travel to all ships experiencing OPP level 3 barrier cleaning.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Must be detail orientated, and process driven.
  • Would be beneficial if candidate has knowledge of chemicals, proper cleaning techniques, requirements, handling and use of equipment.
  • Possesses working knowledge of AMOS, Internet, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Outlook or related programs, and the ability to navigate within these software packages to provide detailed and quality reports to shore side management.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships amongst various groups of individuals, across a multi-cultural departmental environment.
  • Possess solid planning skills and the ability to teach, council and train staff. Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, co-workers, and shipboard employees.

While performing job functions the employee is regularly required to sit, and stand, write, review and type reports, compile data, operate a pc, communicate, listen, and assess information. The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations, and may lift, push, pull or move 10-15 pounds. This position may regularly travel domestically or internationally. Visual requirements include distant, close and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The environment includes office location, and /or moving inside/outside the office. Responsibilities include traveling between numerous offices. A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard or offsite locations.
