Rockstar Games is seeking a talented Community Manager to support our Creator Platform team, which includes the FiveM and RedM multiplayer modification platforms. In this role, you will serve as the voice of our community to internal teams and help represent the project to our community, highlighting innovative projects within our ecosystem for recognition, providing sentiment analysis and feedback, and working in close collaboration with our global community of players, creators, and server owners to help advance and improve the FiveM and RedM platforms.

This is a full-time, permanent and in-office position based in Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of London. 

WHAT WE DO

  • We deliver a technology platform that enables players to experience community created content on fully customized dedicated servers where creators can develop their own game modes and other modifications in a variety of scripting languages.
  • We work in close collaboration with our worldwide community of players, creators, and servers to communicate project progress, community feedback, and new initiatives, and channel feedback from our community to our development teams advocate for community needs.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive Community Management efforts for FiveM, RedM, and the Creator Platform team.
  • Compose community-facing communications including Newswire and Pulse updates.
  • Compile community sentiment analysis and feedback for FiveM and Rockstar Games leadership.
  • Work in close collaboration with Rockstar Games Marketing, Communications, and Community teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on schedules/upcoming beats, supporting content, key learnings, goals and reports.
  • Maintain an active presence across our community channels including, but not limited to, Discord, X, and Cfx.re Forums.
  • Devise new strategies to grow the FiveM/RedM community through the introduction of new marketing and communications channels and strategic partnerships or collaborations.
  • Monitor and synthesize community feedback to represent the community’s voice in internal development discussions and planning sessions.
  • Explore with a wide variety of creator content on our Platforms to curate and collate content and creations to a broader audience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years working in a player-facing community management, communications, or marketing role within the video game and digital entertainment industry.

SKILLS

  • Expertise in community management, actively listening to player feedback, and effectively communicating with diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow online communities across multiple platforms, such as Discord and Reddit through ongoing engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, development, and customer support, to ensure alignment on community strategies and messaging.
  • Passion for fostering community growth and engagement, with a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment for all community members.

PLUSES

  • Previous experience managing or participating in gaming or modding communities, particularly within the Grand Theft Auto and FiveM/RedM ecosystem.
  • Basic understanding of scripting languages, game development, or modding tools related to FiveM and RedM.
  • Experience and/or demonstrated interest in identifying and curating popular and innovative community content.
  • Skills in creating engaging content, such as videos, tutorials, or blog posts, to support and educate the community.
  • Experience with managing and curating social media channels on behalf of game developers and publishers, including (but not limited to) Reddit communities and Discord servers.
