Rockstar is looking for a Los Angeles-based Casting Assistant to support our Casting Production. This role will focus on organizing requests, communicating with talent/agents, and keeping accurate records. Other responsibilities include organizing audio auditions, writing mock audition sides, and walking talent through audition and paperwork questions. 

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and highly organized with strong interpersonal skills. We’re looking for someone that thrives in a fast paced and oftentimes fluid environment where tasks may change quickly from one day to the next depending on our production schedule. This candidate would be Los Angeles casting support for the NY production team, casting background voiceover roles. This role helps build the foundation of our well-oiled casting team and will require dedication and an eye for detailed work.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s new studio on the Westside of Los Angeles, CA. 

WHAT WE DO

  • Rockstar Games’ Los Angeles Casting team will be casting NPCs and other voiceover roles to be recorded locally. 
  • We support Directors to help maintain the nuance and continuity of the game’s world. 
  • We work in collaboration with other departments to help drive the collective vision across all content in our games. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sending out and collecting contracts from talent with an eye for accuracy. 
  • Organizing casting spreadsheets and production details including avails and paperwork. 
  • Reach out to agents for actor availability and audition appointments. 
  • Gathering audio auditions and organizing them accurately. 
  • Supporting the production team as a production coordinator backup when needed. 
  • Managing credits lists. 
  • Assist with booking talent with accurate information and working through booking issues. 
  • Writing mock sides for auditions and completing them on tight deadlines. 
  • Working seamlessly with NY casting team to ensure timely talent payment. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 2 years of casting assistant experience in commercial, video games, TV, theater, or film. 
  • Experience with scheduling and project management software such as Monday.com. 
  • Strong writing skills. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office especially Excel. (Macro knowledge a plus.) 

SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a variety of different personalities. 
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and maintain a positive attitude. 
  • Natural multi-tasker who can keep a level head when things get busy. 
  • First-hand knowledge of the casting process and an understanding of daily tasks. 
  • Excels in writing various kinds of genres and enjoys creating a story. 
  • High level of motivation and passion for detail-oriented work. 
  • Has a strong drive for excellence and takes pride in ownership of tasked responsibilities. 

PLUSES

The pay range for this position in Los Angeles at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
