The provisioning team’s mission is to oversee and manage the company’s cloud infrastructure, establish standards for microservices, and provide high-level abstractions for application and platform teams. This team is crucial to the provisioning of applications and infrastructure at Robinhood, ensuring seamless integration across the organization.
As a cornerstone of Robinhood’s success, the team supports every application and platform by redefining and managing the technology stack. Its primary goal is to position Robinhood for long-term reliability, productivity, and scalability. By focusing on scalability, security, and reliability, the team enables the company to support company growth and expansion initiatives effectively.
As Staff Software Engineer on provisioning team you will be responsible for determining the team's roadmap and delivering on major initiatives for the team. You will be responsible for provisioning and deploying Robinhood applications and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform. In addition, you will be responsible for establishing security practices and managing costs for Infrastructure.

What you’ll do
- Design and implement architectures for Robinhood’s applications and services including brokerage, crypto and money, considering scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
- Manage infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and security configurations
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployments, scaling, and management tasks
- Monitor infrastructure performance metrics and identify areas for improvement to optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with industry regulations.
- Set direction and goals for the team regarding project impact, product quality and engineering efficiency
- Lead major initiatives, projects, teams, roll-outs and phased-releases
What you bring
- 8+years of programming experience in a relevant programming language like Python, Golang, or similar
- 6+ years relevant experience building large-scale infrastructure applications or similar experience
- Expertise in one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, load balancing)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan.
