The Brokerage team is at the heart of Robinhood, responsible for many of our founding products that have redefined investing. As a member of this team, you’ll be at the epicenter of innovation, crafting the very experiences that set Robinhood apart.

We’re looking for a Product Design Manager who thrives in a hybrid role—balancing leadership with hands-on design work. This role is a 50/50 split between mentoring and guiding a talented team while also rolling up your sleeves to drive key design initiatives. You’ll play a pivotal role in setting the design vision, ensuring craft excellence, and collaborating cross-functionally to build intuitive, high-impact user experiences.

This is an incredible opportunity to lead, design, and innovate within a team that’s doing award-winning work—with the autonomy to shape both the product and the design culture. If you’re passionate about both leading and making, we’d love to connect!

The role is located in the following office locations (Menlo Park, CA; New York, NY; Bellevue, WA; Denver, CO; Washington, DC; or Chicago, IL) which will align with our in-office working environment. Please connect with your recruiter for more information regarding our in-office philosophy and expectations.

What you’ll do

  • Lead & Design – Balance leadership with hands-on work, spending 50% of your time managing and mentoring and 50% actively designing.
  • Shape the Design Vision – Drive the creative direction for core Brokerage products, ensuring intuitive, well-crafted, and differentiated user experiences.
  • Mentor & Grow the Team – Guide, inspire, and develop designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and craft excellence.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Work closely with Product, Engineering, and other collaborators to align design with business objectives and user needs.
  • Own High-Impact Projects – Take a hands-on approach to critical design initiatives that shape the future of investing at Robinhood.
  • Elevate Craft & Execution – Set a high bar for quality and design polish, ensuring work that pushes boundaries while staying user-centric.

What you bring

  • Experience in Hybrid Leadership – Proven ability to lead and manage a design team while still being hands-on with the work.
  • Strong Product Design Expertise – A track record of designing intuitive, impactful, and scalable products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Systems Thinking & Craft Mastery – Deep understanding of interaction design, UX principles, and design systems at scale.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Ability to work closely with Engineering, Product, and other teams to drive alignment and execution.
  • A Passion for Investing & Financial Products – Enthusiasm for shaping the future of investing with simple, sophisticated, and powerful design solutions.
  • Growth Mindset & Adaptability – Comfort with ambiguity, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and excitement about building something great.
