Our mission is to deliver an excellent end-customer experience and mitigate firm risk while supporting cutting-edge brokerage and financial products. We’re looking for a specialist to help grow our Margin team.

As a Margin Risk Specialist, you’ll be responsible for account level risk management and operations. You’ll perform essential daily duties to keep our margin business running smoothly, including analyzing and resolving various types of margin calls, communicating with customers via phone or email to resolve escalated issues, reviewing risk-based alerts. Additionally, you’ll be expected to help with options-related and trading operations.

What you’ll do

  • Margin/Options Operations:
    • Review daily margin calls and execute the firm's margin sellout process
    • Research, prioritize, and resolve margin-related customer escalations
    • Mitigate firm and customer risk through intraday alert monitoring and proactively resolve account issues
    • Mitigate Option Assignment or Expiration Risk
    • Manage accounts risks from over-leveraging due to options exposure
    • Respond to and remediate options related SEVs
    • In-house SME and a consultant to customers in a live support environment through email or phone support
  • Trading Operations:
    • Supervision of firm account maintenance/risk
    • Key POC to manage trading related SEVs
  • Liaise with US counterparts on day-to-day functions, as well as on potential issues
  • Keep detailed records in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Ensure adherence to firm procedures and industry regulations
  • Display understanding of complex financial concepts like Equities Trading, Margin, and Derivatives (Futures/Options) Trading.
  • Adhere to Robinhood's policies and procedures pertaining to general customer scenarios and translate them into outstanding customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with Firm policy, MAS rules and regulations.
  • May be required to help at in-person marketing/sales events
  • Assist with various ad-hoc reporting/project

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Business/Statistics/Actuarial Science or equivalent experience in a financial field preferred
  • Currently have or ability to obtain CMFAS Modules for Rules: RES1B and RES 2B, or RES 12B and for Product Knowledge: CM-EIP/CM-SIP or CM-CMP (or already licensed to perform regulated activities in ‘Dealing in capital markets products that are exchange-traded derivatives contracts’, ‘Dealing in capital markets products that are units in a collective investment scheme’, ‘Dealing in capital markets products that are securities’)
  • 4+ Years of experience in financial services operations, with minimum 2+ years specializing in Margin
  • General understanding of trading, brokerage functions
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both verbal and written)
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible, deadline-oriented, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and have a strong work ethic
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to interface and work with a wide variety of individuals at all levels
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and adapt to a changing environment
  • Only Singaporean citizens or permanent residents
