As a QA Manager on the 2XKO project, you will manage Quality Assurance professionals who are deeply familiar with the Fighting Game Community and Fighting Game mechanics. You will work with software engineers, content developers, artists, project managers, and producers to create value for Players around the world. You will be guided by Riot's Test Policy and the product’s test strategy to develop quality activities for every stage of the software development life cycle. Additionally, you will partner with your team, product leadership, and other craft leaders to arrive at more efficient solutions to major quality problems that improve delivery. You will also direct and task other QA professionals, often remotely, to get your work completed.

2XKO is Riot's League-IP take on a competitive fighting game. As a QA Manager on the 2XKO team, you will manage the quality assurance efforts across an Area within our unpublished fighting game! You will use your seasoned expertise to balance both creative and technical quality challenges, while growing and managing other QA professionals in an empathetic and professional environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage QA professionals on multiple teams across multiple locations.
  • Help architect and maintain a quality organization
  • Hire and retain qualified talent
  • Help deliver a best in class experience for the Fighting Game Community by building quality and player impact into the development and decision making process.
  • Develop and guide the implementation of testing strategies throughout the software development life cycle for your Area. These strategies utilize any form of testing appropriate to the quality goals, including manual and automated test execution.
  • Create and track quality metrics that evaluate the game’s quality goals specific to the competitive fighting genre.
  • Hold the Area accountable to their quality goals and guide them to solutions when they are not met.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks to quality with the Area Delivery and Product Leads.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional quality assurance experience, with experience in a leadership role
  • 2+ years of professional experience managing QA professionals
  • Experience working with product quality development pipelines and workflows
  • Experience working on strategic goal setting and an understanding of what successful tactical execution looks like
  • Experience with performance management
  • Experience working with remote testing teams
  • Experience working with cross-functional and cross-discipline teams
  • Experience with multi-platform development
  • Familiarity with competitive fighting games

Desired Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of the Fighting Game Community
  • Experience developing and shipping one multi-platform console title
  • Experience working with test automation
  • Experience working in Unreal Engine
  • Preferred licenses/certifications:
    • ISTQB Foundation Level
    • ISTQB Agile Tester or ICAgile Agile Testing (ICP-TST)
    • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager
