The APAC Media Asset Manager reports to the Global Media Asset Manager. The core responsibility of the APAC Media Asset Manager is to ensure that regional teams are supported in their onboarding to, and daily interactions with, GCO platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring that content operations within regional offices around the APAC territory are run according to Global Content Operations standards on an ongoing basis and advise the GCO Global Media Manager on areas requiring dedicated support. You will ensure the integrity and metadata accuracy of ingested content and support the integration of new content delivery workflows by collecting stakeholder feedback and performing pre-deployment testing. You will be responsible for maintaining expert level knowledge of Media Asset Management technologies in order to contribute to GCO’s culture of innovation and will be the evangelist for streamlined, compliant and efficient content management within the regions composing your territory of activity.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in asset management and demonstrated an ability to work well under tight deadlines, to maintain composure in addressing emergent needs and the capacity to manage work streams that are influenced by a diverse set of teams. They will have an affinity for continually helping users, documenting processes, and representing team feedback for software and hardware improvements. Additionally, this candidate will have demonstrated success in developing and documenting asset management processes or systems, file conventions, and metadata structures and experience working with cloud based infrastructures.
Core responsibilities
- Apply the GCO strategy alongside our shareholders in the APAC territory
- Work with shareholders to develop content validation and metadata curation processes for regional ingests
- Design, test and deploy delivery workflows according to developing business needs
- Assist Global MAM in managing regional logging staff according to content load
- Perform metadata integrations and mappings for regional parties
- Supervise daily content ingest operations
- Be a key contributor to Global Content Operations support provided to system users and lead provision of support for APAC regions
- Oversee content logging initiatives
- Support users of the Global Content platform
- Produce and keep current localized system documentation
- Proactively monitor system health; Report and track system bugs with vendors
- Maintain proficient knowledge of Media and Digital Asset Management technology
Qualifications
- 3-5 years Media Asset Management experience
- Effective interpersonal skills; good judgment and ability to interact with different levels of management and teams
- Fluent in English to communicate with GCO and Riot leadership
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize under time constraints and work successfully in a fast-paced environment
- Passionate about troubleshooting issues, exploring and experimenting new methods
- Self-driven; Self-starter with a habit for taking initiative
- Advanced knowledge of main broadcast and digital video and audio formats
- Experience with Iconik preferred
- Proficient in video and image editing platforms, specifically Adobe CC
- Working knowledge of data exchange formats (XML, JSON, Exif, etc…)
- Passionate about Esports and, specifically, Riot Games products
- Fluency in another language from within the region is preferred (Mandarin Chinese; Korean) but not required
