The Sr. Manager, Systems Engineering (Ecosystem & Apps) will play a crucial role in the experience and direction of our Air and Water products, cloud services, and mobile applications. This role involves leading and managing the product development process, applying Systems Engineering principles and the V-Model approach, defining interactions of domains, and driving quality and traceability throughout the lifecycle. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and external subject matter experts, to deliver innovative and reliable solutions that exceed customer expectations.

This position will serve our Enterprise Division and is located within the metro Atlanta area based in a Rheem office location (Sandy Springs or Roswell).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and design the System Architecture for the connected Air and Water products Ecosystem.
• Lead the definition of Functional Requirements for each Ecosystem Application including Rheem Energy Solutions and Rheem Lifetime Value.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of system engineers. Foster a collaborative and innovative technical environment.
• Work with 3 rd party partners to integrate internal and partner digital applications and features.
• Apply Systems Engineering methodologies and the V-Model approach to ensure thorough testing and verification of product functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, test plans, and test cases that align with product and digital application requirements.
• Ensure Functional Requirements Verification testing to validate that Ecosystem application and features meet design specifications and functional requirements.
• Present roadmaps, status updates, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

WHAT YOU NEED

• An innovative solution-first spirit and the ability to think creatively to solve complex testing challenges.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience (level/role dependent) in product development, engineering, or related fields.

• 5+ years of experience with Systems Engineering Processes, Requirements Management Tools, Test Automation Tools (e.g., Jama, Doors, Helix, Robot Framework, Selenium, Appium).

• 5+ years of experience managing System Engineering and / or Test Engineering employees.

• High technical aptitude to comprehend intricate technical components and systems.

• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external subject matter experts.

• Passion for developing and taking ownership of innovative customer-facing products/services.

• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

HOW TO STAND OUT

• Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

• Digital platform experience

• HVAC / Water Heating industry experience preferred.

• Mobile, Consumer, Automotive experience

• Embedded Software Development experience

• Experience with Functional Safety (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 26262)
