ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
• Reviews program specifications, work instructions, or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished work piece dimensions, or numerical control sequences.
• Operates machine tool equipment as assigned, and load or unload material, i.e. blanks into machinery.
• As required sets stops on machine bed, change dies, and adjusts components, such as ram or power press, when making multiple or successive passes.
• Monitors machine operation for correct feed length and ejection of parts and waste.
• Conducts first piece and in process quality inspection, verifies dimensions using micrometer, template, straightedge or scale. Records data on piece inspection report.

• Confers with supervision or engineers to resolve machine malfunctions and production errors, and to obtain approval to continue production.
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling or cleaning machines, dies, work pieces or adding coolant to machine reservoirs.
• Follow all safety procedures, while maintaining good housekeeping in work area.
• Practice and support Rheem values with internal, as well as external customers.
• Perform other related duties as required by supervisor.
Work Environment:
May be exposed to high noise levels, heat, dust and airborne particles.
Qualifications:
Physical Demands: Continuous lifting of 5-25 lbs; frequent lifting of 25-60lbs; occasional lifting of 60+ lbs. Must be able to stand, walk and/or lift repetitively during shift. Must be able to frequently lift unsupported positions as well as bend, twist/turn, reach, push/pull.
Required Education & Experience: Candidate must have a High School Diploma/GED.
Background/Experience: The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing; ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the control of a machine to exact positions; ability to rearrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g. patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
