About the Job:

We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Vice President, Corporate and Business Development whose primary goals will be focused on driving significant growth and scale of the RTR business. This role reports to our CEO/Founder and will have 4 primary responsibilities: 

  1. Corporate Development - Evaluate and execute M&A, strategic investment and strategic partnership opportunities for RTR to grow the scale of our customers, revenue and financial profile
  2. New Business Opportunities - This role will be responsible for incubating and launching new businesses and/or revenue lines for RTR that have the potential for significant scale. You will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, product execs, designers, merchandisers and marketers to concept, test and build these businesses. Our expectation is that you will own a minimum $10M P&L in year one of your creation. 
  3. Strategic Partnerships - Drive strategic partnerships between Rent the Runway and other companies that drive significant customer acquisition. You will be responsible for building and scaling RTR's partner ecosystem and optimizing our current partner relationships to drive revenue and brand impact.
  4. Sales - Build and run a sales team that leverages the assets of RTR to generate advertising dollars  

About You:

  • You have extensive deal experience and can shepherd a strategic partnership from ideation to execution
  • You are entrepreneurial and have created new businesses or business lines that have demonstrative impact on company financials 
  • You’ve conducted deep financial analysis 
  • You have experience managing a team of cross-functional execs and have worked collaboratively with C-level executives before in your role
  • You are passionate about RTR’s customer base, mission and the overarching fashion/secondhand/sharing economy
  • You have knowledge of the media landscape, high-level external relationships and understanding of the ad-tech space.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $238,400 to $298,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. This position is also eligible for incentive and equity compensation.
