We're seeking a passionate and experienced Staff Product Designer to join our dynamic Product Design team. This designer will be a part of a dedicated team that operates at the intersection of brand and product design, focusing on creating emotional connections with our members through exceptional visual, interaction and motion design. In this role, you'll collaborate with talented designers, engineers and product managers to craft experiences that not only meet user needs but also delight and inspire.

As a Staff Product Designer, you will lead horizontal design initiatives across multiple product teams, bringing a new level of craftsmanship, engaging interactions, and memorable moments to our product experiences. This position is perfect for a seasoned designer who thrives in a leadership role, enjoys working in teams, and is committed to pushing the boundaries of design excellence.

We are looking for a proactive team player who excels at collaborating seamlessly with designers and cross- functional partners (developers, product leaders, marketing). You should be confident in taking initiative, advocating for the importance of design, and presenting and defending your design decisions with conviction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Craft Exceptional Experiences: Proactively identify opportunities to infuse delight, high-quality craftsmanship, and new interactions into our products.
  • Sweat the Details: Focus on the small details that set our products apart. Whether it's a subtle animation, a thoughtful interaction, or a well-crafted visual element, we believe these touches make a significant difference in setting our experience apart.
  • Mentor and Inspire: Act as a mentor to junior and mid-level designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them grow their skills. Lead by example, setting high standards for design craft and creativity.
  • Communicate Effectively: Leverage strong communication and storytelling skills to articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders, communicating a shared vision for product excellence that will inspire the entire organization
  • Create and Prototype: Develop wireframes, user flows, and prototypes at various fidelity levels to effectively explore and convey user experiences across different platforms.
  • Collaborate: Efficiently partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements, define objectives, and transform business goals into innovative design solutions.
  • Contribute to Design Systems: Help build and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and quality across all our digital products.
  • Champion User Advocacy: Advocate for user-centered design improvements, ensuring that user needs and feedback are at the forefront of our product development.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Ability to use After Effects, Lottie, Rive or other motion design and prototyping software.
  • Hands-on experience in concepting and visualizing experiences through storyboarding scenarios, flows, and prototypes at all levels of fidelity with Figma.
  • Strong sense of craft and visual design skills, with an exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, an engaging presentation style, and strong visual storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently, think creatively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
  • Familiarity with motion design tools and front-end implementation

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a design discipline such as Product Design, User
  • Experience, or Interaction Design.
  • 7+ years of experience in Product Design
  • Outstanding online portfolio that showcases excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail and reflects strong understanding of the user-centered design process.

Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.

USD $151,140.00 - $261,140.00 annually
