SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager, who will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy to enhance the overall experience of our members, across Rakuten owned and operated platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, digital strategy and marketing, to deliver products and features that drive member engagement, while optimizing for key business metrics for Rakuten and its merchant partners

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product Strategy and Vision:
    • Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for member experience.
    • Identify market trends, member needs, and competitive landscape to inform product decisions.
    • Define and prioritize product features and enhancements that align with business goals and member needs.
  • Member Experience & Design Collaboration:
    • Maintain a deep understanding of current member experiences and trends.
    • Collaborate with design teams to define and refine member experiences that resonate with target audiences.
  • Channel Strategy & Audience Targeting:
    • Identify and strategize the optimal channels/surfaces for reaching the right audiences.
    • Work with data science and data engineering teams to develop advanced targeting models that enable precise and effective targeting.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making:
    • Identify, define, and track key metrics to measure the success of launched products.
    • Continuously monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize member experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with sales, digital strategy, marketing, and other teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
    • Communicate product updates and changes to internal stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products that enhance member or customer experience.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, design, data science, and engineering.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and drive results across teams, both internally as well as with external clients
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess market trends and consumer behavior.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or equivalent, with a focus on member or customer experience.
  • Prior experience in Affiliate, Loyalty and Cash-back, is a plus
  • Knowledge of current digital advertising trends and best practices

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base compensation for this role to be within the range shown below. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.

USD $115,005.00 - $196,020.00 annually
