SUMMARY:
Rakuten Rewards is searching for a Senior Business Operations Manager to join its growing Operations team. We are a "get things done" group focused on organizational efficiency and creating systems that enable our employees to work more effectively. This role will help local teams and the larger business improve process and tooling, with an eye toward better efficiency and information access for all. The ideal candidate comes with a drive to crack open tough problems and will bring a creative mind to tackling new challenges as they arise in the business. This person will know when a problem needs a simple solution or a complex one and doesn't believe in one-size-fits-all. The candidate will be able to influence beyond reporting lines and along all levels of the organization. Most importantly, this person will demonstrate initiative and be dedicated to helping their colleagues work better.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive process improvement across the organization through collaborative evaluation, solutioning, and advocacy
  • Identify inefficiencies and risk across teams and make recommendations for remediation
  • Evaluate and manage usage and efficacy of select enterprise tools, including making recommendations based on current market offerings
  • Develop engagement strategy to drive thorough adoption of enterprise programs and tools
  • Liaise with IT team on preparation and roll out of new tools, processes, and policies
  • Manage sales org alignment with compliance requirements and execute compliance controls
  • Manage additional cross-functional projects as determined by business need

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • 5+ years in business operations or related operations field
  • 3+ years experience in project management
  • Prior experience in SOX compliance a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to thorough work
  • Comfortable and effective at communicating with all levels of an organization, including senior leadership

• Able to manage tasks and projects based on priority and timelines
• Successful working independently and in collaboration with others
• Interest in both long-term projects and quick pivots based on business need
• Ability to think critically and willingness to ask why, of self and others
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base compensation for this role to be within the range shown below. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.

USD $99,306.00 - $171,612.00 annually
