SUMMARY:

The Sr. Financial Systems Engineer supports and enhances Oracle ERP Cloud, Coupa and surrounding enterprise applications. This role is part of the Rakuten Americas Corporate IT team requiring experience in implementing and supporting Oracle ERP Cloud as well as strong analytical and communication skills. The responsibilities include collaboration with diverse cross functional/technical teams in a varied and fast paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide cost effective solutions to company business use cases by leveraging in-depth knowledge of the Oracle Cloud Financials and COUPA (P2P) as well as industry best practice expertise.
  • Develop, test, and implement/support Oracle ERP Cloud solutions by working collaboratively with technical and business teams.
  • Refine business team's requirements in detail, document and present to the business team for approval. Identify and apply creative and innovative approaches to resolve product implementation and integration problems.
  • Analyze current systems and data to identify new requirements, recognizing the need for systems enhancements or modifications if necessary.
  • Develop unit test scripts and coordinate with business team to perform the User Acceptance Testing of the system enhancements or custom solutions. Design custom interface and report solutions within the Oracle ERP Cloud plus P2P applications (e.g. COUPA, Concur, etc).
  • Develop reports with OTBI tool or other report tools. Resolve service requests by working with product technical support team to.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • Development experience and knowledge (about forms, reports, interfaces, conversions, APIs and extensions) in Oracle ERP Cloud applications implementation or upgrade projects with a core base of one or more years of Java/JSP development.
  • Experience with full software development life cycle (SDLC) - requirements analysis, design, build/development, testing, cut-over and support of Oracle ERP Cloud plus P2P applications (e.g. COUPA, Concur, etc).
  • Thorough understanding of operational financial controls, GAAP, state reporting, and various accounting processes.
  • Experience with product updates and management (review release notes, change management, and testing).
  • Strong business analytical skills to gather and document business requirements, leading fit-gap analysis, business process designs, managing conference room pilots (CRPs), perform functional configuration, and manage testing of ERP solutions.
  • Ability to lead a team, work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
  • Ability to take ownership and manage delivery expectations across multiple stakeholders.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Accounting/Finance fields.
  • 5+ years of experience as Oracle Functional analyst or consultant
  • 3+ years of experience as Coupa Functional analyst or consultant
  • 3+ years of experience in implementation/upgrade projects or supporting Oracle ERP Cloud and Coupa
  • 2+ years of experience with report development around ERP applications. Professional certificate in Oracle Cloud application portfolio a plus. Professional certification in P2P applications a plus

Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.

USD $99,306.00 - $171,612.00 annually
