Job Summary:

Rakuten is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented University Recruiting Intern to join our team for the spring 2025 semester. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in campus recruiting and talent acquisition. The intern will play a crucial role in supporting our campus event schedule as well as student engagement and outreach to ensure a seamless experience for potential candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent Rakuten at virtual and in-person campus events (i.e. information sessions, career fairs, etc.), engaging with students and promoting our brand and opportunities.
  • Manage communication to potential candidates via our recruiting listserv, intern alumni newsletter, and university recruiting email address.
  • Manage university recruiting brand merch, ensuring all event supplies are organized, inventoried, and ready for use.
  • Coordinate the shipping and receiving of event supplies to and from various campus locations.
  • Assist with posting job roles on the Handshake platform and other relevant job boards.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong Organizational Skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with the Handshake platform is a plus.
  • Previous experience in Human Resources is a plus.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in progress

This is a part-time position with a minimum of 25 hours/week. The anticipated dates for this internship are January 6, 2025 - April 25, 2025.

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the hourly rate for this role will be between $20 - $25 per hour. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location.
