Rakuten International is looking for an interim HR Business Partner (Project Manager/Operations) for a seven month contract. This role will partner and collaborate with the HR Business Partner team to manage and lead projects along with improving operational efficiencies within the team and HR COEs.

HR Business Partner Operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage select HR projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, appropriate staffing and alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop detailed project plans, set milestones, and monitor progress to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Maintain Monday.com boards and update as needed based on feedback, changing needs, etc. (I.E. recruiting, project requests, project mgmt., tuition/professional development, etc.)
- Technology Utilization:
- Leverage HR technology and tools to streamline processes, enhance team efficiency, and improve overall HR operations.
- Stay updated on the latest HR technology trends and recommend innovative solutions to optimize HR functions.
- HR Process and Workflow
- Audit and assess existing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement that may or may not require HR cross functional collaboration and stakeholder buy-in.
- Identify needed process and workflows to ensure compliance, consistency and efficiencies that may or may not require HR cross functional collaboration and stakeholder buy-in.
- Lead project planning for employee facing trainings (2025 focus is change management - leaders and employee versions)
- Support ad-hoc reporting needs, partner with HRIS on reports or dashboards needed (new and updates)
- HR Innovation:
- Utilize market trends and HR expertise to drive innovative HR practices and initiatives.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices in HR management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to drive collaboration and support HR projects.
- Act as a liaison between HR and other departments to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Consultative Resource:
- Establish yourself as a consultative resource for all HR projects, providing guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Educate and train HR teammates as needed to drive innovation, tech adoption and process changes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

- Proficiency in using Monday.com for managing boards, implementing automations, and collaborating with team members.
- Effective communication strategies across all levels and a variety of teams.
- Skills in planning, executing, and closing projects including setting milestones, monitoring progress, and managing resources.
- Knowledge of HR technology tools and trends
