Summary:

As Content Manager, you'll be at the heart of shaping our corporate story, developing and executing content strategies that resonate with our current employees and attract top talent. You will own and execute our new owned media strategy in collaboration with a dynamic team of communication professionals. Imagine being the driving force behind content that fosters connection, belonging, and excitement within our organization!

You will collaborate closely with various internal teams to amplify the voice of our people-employees, community, and customers-through multiple content channels. You will also leverage data and analytics to guide content decisions and work collaboratively across teams to ensure content aligns with company priorities and drives engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of content strategies that align with organizational priorities and business goals, ensuring compelling storytelling across various content channels (i.e., corporate website, blog, social, video and other owned media channels).
  • Oversee the creation, editing, and production of content that reflects the corporate narrative and engages both employees and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Marketing, PR, Internal Communications) to integrate content efforts and create unified campaigns that amplify key messages.
  • Drive channel strategy, leveraging data and technology to enhance engagement and evolve content channels.
  • Set clear performance goals, track engagement metrics, and analyze content effectiveness to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner with regional HR and Talent Acquisition teams to craft targeted content strategies that support recruitment and organizational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain editorial calendars, ensuring content is aligned with business priorities and goals.
  • Manage editorial meetings, production timelines, and coordinate with teams to ensure timely, high-quality content delivery.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in content creation, strategy, and communications, demonstrating a proven ability to craft clear, compelling narratives across diverse audiences and formats (written, video, social media, etc.).
  • Exceptional storytelling skills and a creative vision, with a commitment to producing quality content that aligns with business goals and engages audiences.
  • Expertise in developing and executing multi-channel content strategies that establish a consistent narrative for diverse audiences.
  • Passion for emerging communications technologies (social platforms, AI tools, etc.) and the ability to translate complex business and technology concepts into easily understandable content.
  • Highly collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal and diplomacy skills, proven ability to partner effectively with diverse teams - including cross-functional groups (HR, Talent Acquisition, etc.) and multiple marketing teams across various businesses - to foster a creative, accountable environment and amplify compelling narratives for positive attention.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and thriving in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to analyze data to inform strategic decisions, optimize performance, and drive engagement.
  • Executive presence and the ability to influence and lead teams, fostering trust, empowerment, and shared success.
  • Strong operational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a high level of curiosity, cultural sensitivity, and ethical judgment.
  • Solid understanding of basic web and social metrics, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for content optimization and new opportunities.

Travel Requirements

  • This position may include occasional domestic and international travel to meet with team members and attend events.

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base compensation for this role to be within the range shown below. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.

USD $78,651.00 - $135,216.00 annually
