SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Account Manager to join our newly established Strategic Accounts Team. In this role, you will partner closely with Account Executives to deliver exceptional client service and drive sales growth for a portfolio of key merchant partners. The Account Manager will play a critical role in achieving quarterly sales targets, managing campaign execution, and fostering strong relationships with merchants, affiliate networks, and agency partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with AEs to develop and implement strategic solutions that align with merchant partners' key performance indicators (KPIs) and business goals.
  • Manage the end-to-end campaign execution process, including creative asset collection, ensuring commission offers and cash-back promotions are implemented accurately, and campaigns are executed in accordance with insertion orders (IOs).
  • Analyze merchant performance and deal structures to forecast results, create campaign proposals, and track and present campaign outcomes.
  • Provide weekly reporting and analytics on campaign performance, including ad hoc reports and network-specific updates as needed.
  • Support the preparation of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and assist in the creation of client-facing presentations and decks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, affiliate networks, and agency partners to ensure long-term success and collaboration.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries from merchants, educating new advertisers about our program and media offerings.
  • Work cross-functionally with site operations, marketing, and creative teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and alignment with merchant goals.
  • Use Salesforce (SFDC) to create and manage advertising proposals, IOs, and account records, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  • Check inventory availability, run inventory reports, and manage account details in Salesforce.
  • Handle billing and invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of any discrepancies.
  • Take screenshots of placements for reporting purposes and maintain organized documentation for campaigns.
  • Support AEs in building strategic plans and proposals to drive revenue growth.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an account management or sales role, with a proven track record of supporting sales teams and working directly with clients.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Excel and the ability to interpret datasets and deliver actionable insights.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, cloud storage tools (e.g., Box), and Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the base compensation for this role to be within the range shown below. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location. The successful applicant for this role will be eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401k matching, PTO, Volunteer Time Off (VTO), and other employee benefits as the company implements.

USD $62,856.00 - $107,136.00 annually
