KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client management

  • Provide consultative marketing support and guidance to an assigned group of Rakuten Advertising's affiliate clients
  • Interacting daily with clients via phone and email contact, to support tactical requests.
  • Meeting and exceeding revenue goals for each assigned client
  • Providing strategic advice to increase each client's ROI via their affiliate program
  • Developing, maintaining, and extending relationships with our clients
  • • Managing internal resources to ensure that Rakuten Advertising delivers results for each client.
  • Executing day-to-day affiliate account management tasks across your dedicated portfolio of accounts
  • Analyse results and performance, identifying trends and insights
  • Communicate performance results to clients on a weekly basis, updating relevant trend cards
  • Attend and maintain client calls / catch ups, as scheduled
  • Analyse the clients' competitive landscapes and understand their business objectives, margins and budget constraints to provide forward thinking business recommendations
  • Assist your manager in developing Key Account Plans for your priority clients. Agree milestones to track improvement in relationship and revenue, and lead the execution of the KAP
  • Ensure client profitability in line with goals and expectations
  • Develop and maintain client relationship, to achieve highest level of client satisfaction
  • Manage new client launches, ensuring marketing and technical requirements are communicated
  • Deliver quarterly business reviews
  • Identify and initiate upsell / cross sell opportunities across other Rakuten services and channels

Administrative

  • Regularly review contracts to understand contracts and billing mechanisms
  • Troubleshoot client's technical issues, and file support tech tickets on their behalf if needed
  • Owning revenue and forecasting for own client portfolio
  • Maintain documentation of client performance and activities in internal systems

Collaboration

  • Work closely with US/AUS/EU internal counterparts to lead affiliate initiatives across territories
  • Work closely with publisher services to identify partnership opportunities to grow our business
  • Working closely with Analytics' team to help interpret data and build more effective strategies
  • Work with other channel counterparts to provide full Rakuten Marketing experience to clients
  • Plan communication activities for your account's campaigns, alongside MarCom team
  • Developing, maintaining, and extending relationships internally and externally
  • Taking on 1-3 internal projects per year

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

Technical

  • 3+ years of digital marketing experience including client service (agency, client or consulting)
  • BA degree in a Marketing field preferred
  • Competent in Microsoft Office programmes - particularly Excel (intermediate) and PowerPoint
  • Experience in strong client relationships, reinforced by building trust, advising and upselling
  • Good project management skills
  • Web literate (tracking analytics and methods)
