Overview
The Sr. Production Supervisor is responsible for the hiring, training, and performance management of a group of production employees in the Azusa Manufacturing Plant. The Sr. Production Supervisor schedules and supervises production through a group of Production Machine Operators, and temporary workers. The Sr. Production Supervisor implements process improvements and is responsible for the safety, quality and productivity of the workforce.
Work hours: 1st Shift on site between the hours of 5am – 1:30pm, M-F. Weekends as required
Responsibilities
- Be a strategic thinker and have a proven track record of operational excellence, including utilization of lean manufacturing techniques and tools
- Design and implement plans to improve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity and reduce the cost of the operation
- Supervise, develop, and coach production leadership, ensuring that they contribute to company objectives.
- Responsible to develop and implement training and certification programs to onboard new employees.
- Foster creativity and innovation within the production team
- Be able to communicate effectively and efficiently
- Be an experienced recruiter and mentor to employees
- Coordinate the hiring and training of direct employees, including headcount planning and performance management
- Schedule and oversee production; coordinate with internal and external contacts to ensure the fulfillment of all customer orders
- Involve production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and materials personnel in a team approach to problem solving and continuous improvement

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and technical skills, particularly with respect to a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline
- At least five years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma tools and techniques
- History of increasing responsibilities with proven track record of achieving excellent results
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in high mix /high-volume automated assembly processes
- Bilingual – English and Spanish
- A technical undergraduate degree, preferably coupled with an MBA or equivalent
- Experience in working with engineering, supply chain management, logistics, or quality teams
- Previous experience as Manufacturing or Production Manager
Salary range for candidates based in California: $116,000 - $174,000
Salary ranges include base salary and annual incentive bonus if applicable.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
