Overview
The QA Technician I is responsible for the inspection of sub-assemblies and finishing product according to quality standards and procedures. Inspections include first articles, in-process inspections, release of finish product and Statistical Process Controls (SPC). Inform production personnel of non-conforming materials. Analyzes defective parts and provides feedback to Production personnel. Works with engineering and manufacturing teams in projects related to improvement of equipment, materials and vendors to develop solutions and implement preventative measures.
Responsibilities
- Inspects parts being produced per established procedures and AQLs
- Reviews defective parts coming from machines, analyzes them and provides feedback to Maintenance Technician and Production personnel
- Generates Defective Material Reports (DMR) for non-conforming materials
- Responsible for controlling inventory within MRB
- Completes and enters inspection data into Infinity Software (SPC)
- Monitors and reports on quality related issues, scrap, rework levels.
- Stops production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes
- May assist in train direct labor personnel and others
- Undertakes special assignments as required
- Contributes and participates in continuous improvement activities
- Position requires an individual who is enthusiastic, hardworking and team player

Qualifications
- Understands how to use and apply correct inspection tools/equipment for various inspection methods
- Able to write appropriate Work Instructions
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent communication skills, high integrity, results driven
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with “Infinity” SPC system
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience in Molding
- 3+ years of experience in Inspection Systems
- GD+T experience, able to read and understand drawings
- Bilingual - English and Spanish
