Overview
The QA Inspector I inspect sub-assemblies, finished assemblies, packaging and labeling. Inspections include receiving, in-process, final inspections and rework. Completes and interprets Statistical Process Control Charts and histograms, both manually and using computer aided methods. Informs production personnel of non-conforming material, aids in the investigation of causes and corrective action, and follows up on the effectiveness of action taken. Prepares various logs, reports and documentation of quality processes.
Responsibilities
- Inspects parts and assemblies being produced per established procedures and AQLs
- Reviews defective parts, analyzes them and provides feedback to production personnel
- Generates Defective Material Reports (DMR) for non-conforming materials
- Completes and enters inspection data into Infinity Software (SPC)
- Stops production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes
- Undertakes special assignments as required
- Contributes and participates in continuous improvement activities
- Position requires an individual who is enthusiastic, hardworking and team player

Qualifications
- Understands how to use and apply correct inspection tools/equipment for various inspection methods
- Previous experience in quality control
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Ability to create inspection reports
- Able to write appropriate Work Instructions
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent communication skills, high integrity, results driven
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with “Infinity” SPC system
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with electronics and mechanical assembly
- Bilingual - English and Spanish
