Overview
This position is remote. To be considered, you must live within 40 miles of a major international airport.
The motivated, detail oriented sales professional will spearhead efforts for the Consumer Products Strategic Business Unit focused on International retail customers. This sales professional will manage the activities of expanding the CP business across new retail outlets globally as well as all aspects related to current account management including sales & merchandising (in-store and online), inventory planning, quality, customer service, logistics and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to profitably grow sales & market share and enhance Rain Bird’s presence across international retail outlets
- In collaboration with Rain Bird subsidiaries, identify new points of distribution to expand sales to ensure long term success
- Coordinate internal efforts by communicating needs/ opportunities to the Consumer Products Marketing, Engineering, Quality and Operations teams
- Embrace role as contact for CP international sales, and develop relationships among the many departments associated with the day-to-day on-goings of doing business
- Actively work with distributors and retail partner merchandising teams to ensure Rain Bird adds value and guide strategy development in the irrigation category
- Work with customer inventory planning teams to ensure customer demand is aligned with Rain Bird internal demand planning
- Actively manage quality metrics associated with product pricing, product quality and logistics

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree
- Experience calling on Big Box Retail headquarters
- Seven years of experience in sales, marketing, product management, national big box retail management or account management calling on the corporate headquarters
- Demonstrated vision, detailed planning, and high quality execution in prior assignments
- Aptitude for quantitative evaluation and strategic and tactical thinking
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Superb presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence and to achieve results from people with no direct reporting relationship
- Willingness to travel ~50% of work schedule
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- MBA degree
- Knowledge of irrigation products
- Well-developed category management skills
- Three years management experience with a proven ability to inspire and motivate
