The Software Architect Role 

Join our vibrant team as a Software Architect in the fast-paced and innovative AI India Team. We believe in the power of data to change the world and are looking for individuals who share this passion. As part of our global R&D organization, you will play a crucial role in building and supporting Qlik's Cloud-based AI / ML components, contributing to transformative discoveries in data. 

What makes this role interesting? 

Design/Architect: Design and implement secure, scalable, and cost-effective architectures, optimizing infrastructure usage and reducing operational costs ensuring high quality, scalability, and performance.

Team Collaboration: Join a small, close-knit team dedicated to building and supporting Qlik's Cloud-based Product Offerings in AI and ML, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.  Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements and propose solutions that align with business goals.

Agile Software Development: Gain insight into the purpose and practices of agile software development, contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes. 

DevOps: Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and containerization, to streamline software development and deployment processes.

Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions for applications and infrastructure using tools

Maintenance: Continue to streamline pipelines, implement best practices and use latest monitoring systems for efficient and smooth delivery.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

• 7+ years of specific technology domain areas like software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics

• 5+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience 

• Certifications in DevOps (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer, etc.). Strong understanding of DevOps practices and principles

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, releases, and workflows.

• Experience Implementing and manage monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions for applications and infrastructure using tools such as: Prometheus/Grafana/ELK Stack/AWS CloudWatch/Google Cloud Monitoring

• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including static application scanning, vulnerability management, and security best practices, using tools such as SonarQube/Veracode/OWASP ZAP/AWS Inspector/Google Cloud Security Scanner

• Experience with design and implementation of cost optimization strategies for cloud-based solutions using tools such as: AWS Cost Explorer/GCP Cost Management

• Experience implementing infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources, ensuring consistency, security, and scalability.

• Experience implementing GitOps practices for managing infrastructure and deployments using tools such as Argo CD/Flux.

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
  
• Ability to learn, work with, and apply multiple technologies to solve real customer problems, staying updated with best practices in testing. Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across geographically dispersed teams.

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent

We would be thrilled to have a teammate with:

•          Experience with Qlik products or any other Business/ Data Analytics Products. 

•          Certification in Cloud Technologies

•          Knowledge in AI Technologies

•          Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure.

•          Passionate about learning emerging technologies.

The location for this role is: 

       Bangalore, India (This is a hybrid role based out of our JP Nagar, Bangalore Office)
