The Association/Affinity Segment provides unparalleled digital enrollment experiences to members delivering integrated business solutions and automated processes. We put data to work for associations and their members, using it to provide solutions that address members' key needs, and create personalized experiences. We serve organizations and their members through a high-touch, high-tech, self-serve interaction, guided by our principles of creating and nurturing relationships built on trust.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
- Supports projects across Operations, Business and Systems to solve complex Medical Underwriting business issues through process, systems and infrastructure.
- Has full technical knowledge of Medical Underwriting business analysis. Is considered a subject matter expert in Medical Underwriting product, data analytics information planning and or operational support.
- Works closely with operations and systems partners in the definition of systems requirements, implementation of applications projects and systems testing.
- Provides business guidance through all phases of the development and implementation process and ongoing Medical Underwriting administration.
- Responsible for the day to day activities relating to one or more of the following Medical Underwriting business requirements rules, QA UAT testing, operational reviews, information analysis, exception handling and coordination of work with internal and external partners.
- Association GI Medical Underwriting Work Stream Lead and manages initiatives working with CDO, MEDUW, API Teams and others to define requirements for initiatives, UAT, pull data from Medical Underwriting for CBAs and other activities.
- Coordinate/attend vendor calls and cross business collaboration with ILI, MEDU/Association.
- Set up MEDUW guidelines (age/amount/debits) for new association clients. Monitor MEDUW to ensure Association EOI applications are processed correctly preventing potential issues that affect clients.
- Produce adhoc reports for Association Account Management (EOI summary, reason for decline) including large client YE reporting.
- Create reports for monitoring MEDUW workflow for association cases by creating the report and coordinating automation of report in MEDUW management portal.
- SME for Association MEDUW including designing meetings, researching complex issues for association clients, investigating PREP issues, etc.
- Setup new customers in MEDUW including monitoring that backend tables are updated.
What you'll need:
- A strong background in Medical Underwriting systems, processes and data analytics required.
- Group Insurance Industry experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with minimum of 3 years of Group Insurance industry experience
- Ability to work independently
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize work with limited oversight
- Self-starter, highly motivated, strategic thinker who can lead independent stakeholder conversations
- Strong, proven communication, collaboration, and consensus building skills
- Strong Group Insurance acumen and familiarity with a broad range of Medical Underwriting business processes
- Strong Analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Office and Excel skills
- Working knowledge of applicable medical underwriting platform and tools (internal)
- Ability to develop strong working relationships within Segment and GI as well as cross business partners and vendors
- Exhibits behaviors aligned with leadership competencies

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $115,800.00 to $172,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
